That’s a good watch. Shows how disciplined we were on Sunday also. People tend to only focus on what happens when we are on the ball but that evidences how great we were structurally. Also shows how important Szoboslai is, to play that position you need a lot of energy and he puts a shift in.Modifying post.

In the short term he would improve them a lot imo.
His football is horribly negative to watch but highly effective, especially against well drilled attacking sides.
Under him there would be a good chance, again imo, of them getting into the top four after a season or two (if he lasted).
And as such, when they change manager again in the near future, I hope it is Southgate that comes through the door to great fanfare and not everyone's favourite serial killer looking mofo in Tommy the Tit.
Under Southgate they only get the negative footy, Tommy brings silverware with that style of footy.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The Argie Allardyce.
Very progressive early on in his career and then became a one trick dinosaur very quickly.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Last season he seemed to suffer fatigue after a while, coaching staff will be well aware of that and will hopefully be grooming an understudyOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostThat’s a good watch. I missed this one on Sunday, didn’t realise it was inside the box… happened at 3-0, so obv it was never gonna cost us, but even still this is some joke. New season, same **** from VAR. What if this was in a 0-0 draw or something?
And even though it don’t cost us in terms of the result, if it was awarded we’d prob be top of the league now.I don't tip

Agreed, butOriginally posted by banditos View PostNever a penalty. We'd be fuming if that had been given against us. Grav is the one who initiates the contact.
New law is that ref saw something, signalling to play the advantage confirms that he's noticed an infringement, so VAR should reaffirm it shouldn't they?

Originally posted by fidget View PostVAR should check if it was inside the box. Then the "high threshold for intervention means that the "referee's call" will stand "and a penalty given.
to both. I’m not complaining so much that it should be a pen, more the fact that the ref signaled foul and play on, and there didn’t seem to be any delay for a var check. If they checked and sent the ref to the monitor and he came back saying na actually I was wrong, it wasn’t a foul- I’d say fine, good process. But the ref said it was a foul but just didn’t realise it was in the box.
It’s not gonna get much attention cos it didn’t impact the outcome of the game, but it still feels like another one where they’ve dropped the ball.I don't tip

You might be right about that, but they need to clarify what it means if they are sticking with the onfield decision. How does VAR know whether an intervention is required and most importantly, what are the fans in the stadium expecting if there is no immediate advantage.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI’m not convinced refs are using the traditional play on signal to mean that anymore. There were a couple last season where it appeared the ref signalled play on when they really just meant ‘carry on’.We are here for a good time not a long time....
