He has spent 616m on players. That is ****in nuts when you consider the fact that Ole spent that as well in the 2 or 3 years he was there. People talk about city and Chelsea spending but United have spent mega sums too.

What is absolutely bat**** though is the fact that their promising players are then Mainoo and Garnacho.....2 players that cost them **** all (think Garnacho cost 100k compensation or something)

They are definitely over playing Mainoo also. He’s just a kid and is already having to play as one of their first name on the team sheet midfielders. He’s only 19. He is a talent but the fact that they have no choi e but to turn to him in every game given the amount they have spent is nuts.

Do you think? I think he's quality personally and will only improve. He's really assured on the ball generally, good passer, can turn a man quickly and good on both feet plus he can score too.

to being overrated to a massive degree and another to the Joe Allen comparison.

That is Joe Allen.

Throw it a bit lightweight, needing a more physical player beside him and being outmuscled in games and the Joe Allen comparison is strengthened even further.

Just need him to admit to having a thing for bonking chickens and family trees (human or otherwise) may have to be checked.

I thought Mainoo started the game very well, he put himself about with a few good tackles and broke up our attacks well early on. So that lasted about 15 mins and then he was chasing shadows like the rest of them.

Thats fair I think - I also get the Joe Allen element as well - him and Casimero looked ****ed after 35 mins - The pivot of out three just rang rings about them.

His positioning was (is) rank (mind you Salah made DDG look poor a few times over the years.

He was banking on Salah needing to take a touch. Salah made it look easy, but the speed of the finish just highlighted how bad Onanas positioning was.
