They just cannot find a manager. Extending Ten Hag was madness. Unless they pick up rapidly they have a tough decision to make a new manager. New ideas but with a squad rammed full of players signed by previous managers that still has obvious gaps.

One thing that works for Slot is he came in to a squad that had been rebuilt, which is why he didn’t need to make signings. He didn’t need to overhaul tactics just tweak them and he inherited a group of players that are tight, that work for each other and that are coach able.

ETH may win them a domestic cup but he is not capable of taking them to where they want to be

I like the way the team is set up defensively to stop counter attacks. They look well drilled in how to react and get back to slow down the opposition and get reorganised.

Trent had another good game defensively today he usually has problems against Rashford.
