In the cold light of day getting a draw against the Mancs which felt like a loss isn't the end of the world especially as those around us didn't take advantage.

That was their cup final for the season and if they couldn't raise their game for that !

No injuries is the biggest thing to take from the game when considering how up for it they were. Makes me think having the Everton game postponed for as long as possible isn't a bad thing as they're always out to hurt us.

We've a tough run coming now with Forest, Bournemouth and Brentfors all away. Need 7 points from that lot which is a big ask

Robbo was ok with the ball yesterday. But these defensive lapses are continuing to hurt us.

That second goal was a joke.
Looked like Robbo arrived a touch too early, the ball went under his thigh. He could've gone to ground and would've blocked it.

Trent is saving himself, there was zero physicality from his at all. May as well take the money as the players will be well aware of how he's performing. They'll gel if they think the club is making a stern decision

It’s a goal we’ve seen far too often, a cross not stopped from the right and the left side too slow to react. I think Dom’s energy and work on the right was missing to help, especially with Ibou being a bit rusty.

Robbo needs replacing, that is clear but he gives everything he has. I wish Trent had his attitude because there were parts of the game he appeared unprofessional.

Quansah must really not be trusted by Slot given he rushed Ibou back to start!

With the exclusion of certain individual performances (66).

There is a temptation to over react to yesterday’s draw same as the Newcastle away result. Typically the teams we’ve dropped points to have gone on to prove they are stern opposition (Forest, Fulham, Newcastle).

I think we all had that 8 point lead in our minds eye to see it reduced to 6 felt worse than it actually is. It felt the same as the late equaliser for Newcastle which was a similar game in terms of tempo.

Conditions like yesterday are draining, and both teams looked ****ed by the end and the game was very open and very Un composed. We had 2 maybe three chances to win it they had one massive chance right at the end. When I recall back when I used to play and we got more shock results in big games in poor weather than in any other games both winning and losing.

Equally that’s by far the best Utd have played for Amorim, possibly the best they’ve played this season.

We also had 2 massive chances in stoppage time

It is a frustrating result as we only scored 2 whereas we had an XG of just under 3. They had an XG of just under 1 but managed to put 2 past us

It’s annoying that there is now a narrative from some that we were lucky to get the draw

That narrative will just stem from the last passage of play, where Slabhead shot over the bar with pretty much the last kick of the game, so that will be sticking in people's minds.

But I reckon that Zirkzee was offside anyway, so it wouldn't have counted.

It's funny listening to pundits and media, once again for the 59th time, United are back!!!! In reality they worked hard and were better than usual. Did they play great? No chance, we just played poorly and still were the better side. This bizarre media push for them to stay relevant makes it so funny when they inevitably do **** all, need another new manager and go spend half a billion on ****e. Neville in particular really should not be allowed to commentate on United games, his ridiculous bias is vomit inducing.

It is balls in the net that count of course, but I thought the expected goals metric was a bit tough on United. In the first half we both had two chances (us Gakpo and Macca, them their number 9 and whoever it was who got in front of the ball). In the second half we had the Virgil and Conor chances, but getting the penalty was a stroke of luck. Yes, their first goal was a brilliant and -unexpectantly succesful - finish and the Maguire chance might have been rules out for offside, but really it was an even game that could have gone either way and we need to do better in the weeks ahead against well organised and quality players if we want to end the season with a trophy that has only two handles.

It wasn’t an even game though - we had more possession, shots on goal, shots on target, touches in opposition box, triple their XG

The narrative that it was an even game is media bollox IMO

Their ‘chance’ in the first half where the ball was behind the attacker shouldn’t even be worthy of a mention as it didn’t result in a shot on goal. They completely messed it up.

I saw that somewhere that we had a higher xG yesterday than we did in the 7-0 against them
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The linesmen on the SKD stand side looked to the **** ref and took his lead from him before making a decision nearly every time yesterday including obvious throw ins 2 yards from him.

Anyone would think they'd just taken top spot from us the way the players and fans have reacted. The weather was a massive leveller yesterday, and congrats, you earned a draw, I'm sure that point may come in handy and save you from relegation come the end of the season.

They've a proper small club mentality these days
