No doubt they have better players, but we still matched them on most of the pitch, but failed to create anything decent over 210 minutes apart from the goal.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Not sure what has happened to Jota perhaps injuries taking their toll but at the moment he looks way off.
I think we need to really invest in the squad in the summer. We haven't spent since 2023. I didn't think we played badly today, we did well. We gave 100% and left it all out there on the pitch. But that PSG squad is very talented, give credit where it's due.

I agree. Zero service. Never put the early ball through. Forever taking extra touches and always going to salah. This team is in trouble next season imo.
That's a worrying prediction to hear from the renowned forum optimist.

Which is one of the reasons I think the front row is going to go through a refurb in the summer, assuming we can afford it.
              Really?

On the plus side, I thought Quansah did well at right back.
Good point on Quansah, he was the only sub that didn’t result in a drop off in quality - defended really well and had some good moments at the other end

‘The team is in trouble next season’ is the wildest take of the night

Well clearly strengthen and are currently running away with the League.

We lost 1 nil to a brilliant team to a really **** goal. Outwith that we were excellent particularly in the 90 mins.

Agreed. That's why even after this loss, I'm even more confident in Slot.

Lessons learned from the season, Slot knows how to start a season strong. Really strong. Basically walked the league by January.

But he needs to extend his trusted group of players from 14/15 to 18. Either buy ones in the summer (and get rid of the ones that don't match up) or use what you have by bringing up their levels. I'm sure he will.

On to the cup final. Again not fussed too much if we don't win it. We've won it so many times already. It's number 20 baby!!

I think the difference is the drop off in quality from our first 11 whereas PSG seemed to be able to replace like for like.
I think our midfield options are good enough, it's full backs and attackers that need the investment. I don't think there's any attacker in our squad that couldn't be upgraded, and I haven't thought that for a very long time.

I really hate the fact that you're right, but you are right now. A lot of players need to be replaced in the next 2 years.
