Frimp being right footed is more able to go wide then cut the ball back, and with isak, eki and wirtz in the middle its a better method than the standard two defenders blocking salah as he cuts inside again.Last edited by baitman; 02-10-25, 10:29 AM.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Him and Wirtz are finding the physical battle the hardest. They need a few more months toughening up. Saying that Frimpong played some brave football in dispatches yesterday. I can't believe he won that header against Singo(?) that led to a goal scoring chance. Also went full pelt to set up Ekitike's reverse flick.
I think he will be ready quicker than Wirtz, IMO.One tit for another.

It's early days but Frimpong is struggling with the physical aspect of the game and he just comes across as a bit scatty imo. He has shown that he's good enough yet to get into the starting 11. I'm still not sure on Bradley yet but Bradley does seem to be a better defender than him and more comfortable with the physical side of the game. Szob is a machine and vital to how we play when we are playing well and he has a long way to go if he's going to be a Salah replacement. So Frimpong currently has better players ahead of him in all the right sided positions.
At the moment and I stress at the moment, he comes across as a utility squad player.

Played in almost 50 games a season in all comps in each of the last three seasons before joining us.
In the Bundesliga his games played for the past three seasons are (earliest to most recent) 34, 31 and 33. There are only 34 games a season in the Bundesliga.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Would be leaning towards that too. Is a league that, regardless of whether a player is there all their career or just moves to it, will cause far more strain and as such impact players who may be a little less durable than others and/or players whose game is more based around pace/quick movements.I don't hate people. He injured his hamstring in the first game of the season, which suggests to me that it was just a match fitness issue after the summer break. It obviously wasn't fully healed and it went again in a CL match, not a PL game, after he had played for Holland. Just bad luck.Last edited by Kenneth; 24-10-25, 01:47 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I had a tab with a similar response.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostHe's only played a total of 84 minutes in the PL.
1 start back in August, then 3 spread out sub appearances.
I don't think we can pin it on the demands of the league.
The fitness issue followed by a reoccurrence suggestion makes more sense.
No doubt the demands of the PL are higher than the German league but there's no case here for Frimpong - 20mins into a european game.
I think the tussle with the defender added a bit more load and he had probably not properly recovered.
