3 games to find your feet in a new system is pretty good - arguably he has settled more quickly than Wirtz.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

It is, and my comments about his first few performances weren't meant as a slight, it takes time to settle at any club. Kerkez had the advantage of already having played in the PL. Wirtz and a few others don't have that experience so you would expect them to take even longer.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I didn’t take it that way - I thought he struggled in the first two games two. Fair point on the Prem experience making a difference

Yeah that was a really impressive performance yesterday & hopefully the benchmark going forward. Madueke had him beat for pace but he managed to recover time & time again.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He was certainly better against arsenal, but i wouldn't go as far to say he was excellent.
Early on he still looked a bit rabbit in the headlights, also had a moment where he tried to cut out the arsenal wingers cross and had his hands behind his back, wtf, when he should have actually put a foot in.
Maybe he didn't want to risk a foul, especially knowing arse will dive given any chance!
He should have been more confident in his own abilities and crunched the ****er.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That’s quite a hot take from the Arsenal fan on Madueke

                I thought he was ‘ok’.

He got subbed off after not beating Kerkez once, he was their main threat (apart from corners) but Kerkez did very well against him.

Yeah - zero chances created that I recall. One timid shot that Ali saved.

Kerkez worked hard against him a couple of times but saw him off. He then absolutely crunched Dowman when he came on - winning tackle and exiting with the ball.

Lucky he didn't get a yellow for child abuse

I really liked the way both VVD and Ali cheered him on right from the start. Every tackle or block early on they were there patting him on the back and supporting him.

He seems a bit mental. I like him.

Looked much better today. Very solid defensively and got forward and out in a couple of good crosses. There was no threat down his side from Everton.

I think he has his headless moments. But he look a good player. Just needs a bit of coaching from Slot and Virg and he will be top class
