Think there is a lack of on pitch leadership at times late in games. Having two or three players vocally keeping others moving might make the world of difference.
Good point about on pitch leadership.

I also think it is pretty easy to get through our midfield in general this season. I love Gravenberch and MacAllister as players (although I think Mac in general has had a bad year) but neither of them have been good at killing the game. Maybe that kind of player is critical to the evolution of this team??

Also, what is the point of Endo?? I know he did reasonably well under Klopp but if Arne isn't going to play him at all, then what is the point?? In hindsight we would have been better off not signing him and keeping Milner as the guy who comes on for 10 minutes at the end of the game to help the team keep a cool head.

The most frustrating thing for me is that we know that we are crap from 70mins onwards for whatever reason, that being the case you would feel we need to start games strong and hopefully get ourselves a couple of goals up by the time that point comes around. Problem is we are also typically ****e for the first 30 mins of any game as well, reality is we only play reasonably well for about 30mins in any given game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Exactly. Lots of chat about how good we were in the second half on Sunday - only really for about 30 minutes, until we scored the goal. Similar in some ways to Newcastle before that

It's clearly a plan to minmise risk, but it just wastes the first half at Anfield - the crowd is desperate to find soemthing to get behind, and at the moment we give them very little.

I'd really like to see us get at teams particularly at home from the first minute, try and put games to bed early, or at least not offer teams encouragement. Historically most teams come to Anfield and try to get through the first 20-30mins and build from there. We aren't giving them anything to worry about so that gives them plenty encouragement

It would also help giving more players minutes. If you’re ahead in games you can rest and rotate more and if you’re going at them you’re more likely to tire them out so they can’t sit back and absorb the slow motion football and come at us late in games, make them work to defend. Get into teams from the start and get the crowd fired up and use the fear factor.

Having a go would also lift the crowd, who then in turn might further wake the players up!
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

So Galatasaray looking likely to be one of our two challengers in the next round. The other might be Atletico. We get one of them and Spurs gets the other. Anyone know how the seeding works, do we get the weaker of those two teams before Spurs?

Being Seeded means we are home for the 2nd leg.

Atletico are far from through to meeting one from us or Spurs given they drew 3-3 with Brugge.

Gala look like they will be in the pot for sure after putting five past Juve.
