I wonder if in trying to fix any second half of the season drop off and injury issues they’ve underdone the team and were hoping to build as the season goes on and have also tried to lower the intensity in games. Get them running and pressing less but hoping the quality of the squad would be good enough to still win with slow controlled football.

The is definitely something lacking I don’t know if it’s the intensity we were used to, fitness levels, attitude or something else. They’ve shown in some games it’s there but it’s a rare sight now.

So we went from having a team of performance monsters who never tire to half the team not being fit enough to play a full game and needing to buy more players to cover them. Pretty sure the club have screwed up with Slot and his staff. When Klopp first came it took him about 6months or so before the team started to play how he wanted, and a season later they were doing what was needed. If we take that sort of example of a team needing to play to learn the managers tactics, when Slot first came we were dominant and no different for the first 6months. The second half of the season we started to see us drop more and more till the last couple months where we were atrocious. This season has been no different from that period. Its like the team have finally started adapting Slots gameplay plan, which is forever passing back and forth, trying to walk the ball in, zero attempt to hurry and just control the ball, and **** all set piece intelligence. He cant even figure out what to do with a low block. The players are struggling with his low tempo rubbish because they're the exact opposite type so making them move less is causing them to be far more static and confused than they should be. We need a clear out of all the staff he brought with him. First time I've heard some boo's from our crowd after that Leeds game. Deserved too. We're a team thats absolutely gutless.

Well, whether it's true or not, if we don't improve under Slot and heś moved on, the lasting narrative will be that he took over a team in Klopp's mould, built, coached and motivated by Klopp, and made them gradually more **** until he got the boot. If Slot doesn't get his **** together, in the long term, 24/25 will be regarded by most as Klopp's doing imo.

In home games this season against Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Wolves, and Leeds, Liverpool have generated 4 Opta-defined big chances in total. One per game. 77 shots, 6.9 xG (0.089 xG/shot) from average possession of 69.4% in those games

I already believe it. Hes an absolute fraud. Not being able to counter against a low block by now in his career shows his depth. He's not for us.

We clearly don't create anywhere near enough big chances (not sure what the Opta definition is exactly) but we rarely have what I would call a good chance to score and rarely work the keeper, most of our chances are hit and hope but the xG gets padded by the quantity we have.

Looked at the stats today, 19 shots only 4 on target, 8 shots from outside the box, the only good chance I can remember us having is the one Ekitike headed the wrong way. and our xG was 1.96. Leeds had 4 shots and an xG of 0.68

I dont know where these 19 shots came from. All we ever did was kick the ball into the opposition player 1 meter away.

Slot made great substitutions last season - this season it's like he's learning football again.

                  WTF happened?

We've got worse at everything is what happened.

Inc recruitment. We desperately need the Mane signing - the one that really started the attacking progress under Klopp.

Gakpo should never played LWF for us again.

Just been looking at the stats from last season, we finished the PL season (38 games) having scored 86 goals and conceded 41, so far this season (19 games) we have scored 30 and conceded 26. So we have scored 13 goals fewer and have conceded 5.5 more than last season's average and if this trend continues we are on for doubling those numbers by the end of the season (26 goals fewer and conceding 11 goals more). Salah scored 29 PL goals last season, if this continues it would be the equivalent of losing him from last season.

It feels like we have concentrated all our goal scoring threat in Isak and Ekitike, which is a different approach. The plan would have been to play one at a time, OK Isak is injured so that puts more pressure on Ekitike, but the reality is we aren't creating enough chances for this reliance on him. Everyone else bar Salah is probably where you would expect them to be goalscoring wise based on last season. e.g Gakpo got 10 PL goals last year and is currently on 4 at the halfway point. Just look around and our only real goal threats are Isak (injured), Salah (form has dropped off a cliff) Ekitike and Gakpo. I really see us struggling for the rest of the season, we desperately need a forward IMO.

Did he really make great substitutions? Or did the players coming on still have Klopps training influence and just did what they always did. Now everythings been slowed down to a horrid degree. Anyone coming on will be playing that way too.

Has it been mentioned anywhere what an advantage Arsenal and others had by playing on Tuesday instead of New Year's Day? All 4 NYD games were stalemate, 3 of which were goalless. Flat

After today's games we'll either be outside the top 4 or closer to the relegation places than top of the league. How embarrassing
