That's incredible and highlights the chaos and panic in a side that just doesn't know what they are and are devoid of all confidence. Weak.

Alsonso wont be able to play 3 at the back though... We dont have 3 fit defenders there
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

We did it today and left Konate on the bench.

Leoni returns, and we buy another during the summer. Should be fine.

Leoni? 60 minutes and an ACL? He should be 5th choice. Be a miracle if he comes back challenging straight away.

Thats what the extra defender purchase is for, in case he is broken again. If konate leaves then we buy 2. This time I'd like us to actually buy one instead of **** around for 3months till the transfer closes.

Konate leaving would be a big problem for us as it leaves us with VVD, Gomez, Leoni and Jacquet and presumably a replacement but we would be lacking experience, as both Leoni and Jacquet realistically only have a a couple of half seasons first team experience non of which is in the PL. Both are coming back from injury and would need to be brought in slowly. Gomez is prone to injuries and you wouldn't be confident of him being fit for a run of game. VVD is good but will be another year older. Konate or his replacement is going to be key they are probably going to need to play the bulk of the games so need to slot into the side effortlessly

Just social media cry babies tossing toys from their prams. Everyone can see we have had a poor season but they just want their attention fix by going on and on about it even though anyone that is not a moron knows there will be no changes before the summer.

The same social media types probably virtue signal about people like Elon Musk then rush to use Musk's social media platform to cry on.

Why have a discussion about football when they can just go wah wah wah all the time.

And no, that is in no way directed at Exiled Red. Is aimed at the cry babies on X or wherever.

We are haunted that we won the first 5 games of the season alright. Newcastle one sticks out as being the one where we really rode our luck

But every team rides their luck at times. Arsenal certainly have this season, so have City.

Even a number of the games in which we lost or drew thanks to a late goal, there was some stupid mistake or stroke of bad luck that went against us. Swings and roundabouts, sometimes we get the luck, sometimes the other team does.

This season, for many reasons, is simply a poor season (by our perceived standards of course) and if a footy team people support having a poor season is the worst thing going on in people's lives and causes them to lose their heads a wee bit, then life must not be too bad in general for them.

For many, it clearly isn't even close to the worst thing going on in their lives. Football can be an escape and uplifting when we win. It's depressing and annoying when you spend 2 hours watching ****e - people should be vocal about that. These are extremely privileged individuals who are not performing.

What we are witnessing is a Championship winning side throwing away a golden opportunity to win back to back titles. Our style of play has been awful and Slot has turned an exciting to watch, high-intensity, high-pressing squad into a boring passive one.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

You go to the cinema and watch a film that turns out to be bad, go to a concert and the band is crap. Same time wasted but at the same time it was one's own choice to waste it.

Sure have a whinge about it, but think this season there is almost a hope for more bad performances and results as it vindicates pre formed opinions, and a whinge about a game lasts days and then just blends into the next whinge which tends to be nothing more than "Slot out" being said over and over.

Just feels like a series of tantrums at times.

Last season we dined on fine steak, this season we are being serving **** sandwiches. Who knows, next season might be a rollar coaster with more to inspire hope than despair. But at the end of the day we are not "owed" anything and more so as for the most part we are watching the games online on a stream or on the radio or watching others put updates on a site so we are not even having to make the effort to go to the ground every week.

Think part of it for me is that I tend rail against negativity, probably do it too much as well to be fair, and the more I see of it the more my instinct is to push back. Makes me no more or no less a supporter than the next person but is just how my mindset kicks in.

Maybe over the decades I bought too much into the idea that we are a little different as a fanbase, that we are a bit more patient, a bit more knowleable, that it is about more than what is on the pitch and so on.

Again that is on me for endulging a childhood fantasy and carrying it into adulthood. We are the same as other fanbases, especially us in the online communities. The same wanting all smooth and no rough. We, and I include myself in that, have just liked to pretend otherwise.

People often say the game is gone and then point at the wealth as the reason as to why. Me I think it is just as much down to the supporters as to why football, at the highest levels, has just become a product and why feelings of general comraderie carry about as much weight or depth as what shares with the smelly Clare ****er standing in front of you in the line at Circle K.

As Liverpool fans we're really lucky to support a team that is capable of winning things and providing those moments and that's a huge privilege. For some it might be one of the few uplifting things they have going on in their lives. Doesn't mean us having a **** and very frustrating season won't/shouldn't upset them.
