Rio has said himself in interviews that he was not ready for too many regular games this season so not going to use him as a stick to beat Slot with.

Is only over the past couple months that Rio has even moved up to doing close to what the senior players do in training.

Sooner build him up right this season than rush him in and risk him getting injuries that stall his future progress.

Also think that during a not so good season there will always be more made of young players and many will be spoken off as if they are genuine solutions despite very little to back that up.

Did not see many looking for the young players to be put on in place of seniors last season, no clamour to give them "safer" run outs within a perfroming team. Same as when we were going over 90 points a season with Klopp, we were not saying the promising young talents need to be getting even more game time. No we were enjoying the ride and wanting the guys doing the business to be be playing each week.

Think many of our current crop of promising players have done very little to suggest they are ready to take on senior players. Rio is probably the only one. Leoni too if we count him as a promising young player given he is only 19.

Very few of the rest I would have confidence in, in terms of them coming into the team and holding their own, especially coming into a disjointed team if their positions were in midfield or at the back.

Gakpo for me should have played less, but I would have been using Chiesa more (with Rio as a sub for him) or even putting a combination of Kerkez and Robertson on the left flank at times. Biggest misfire we have had in attack this season was starting both Salah and Gakpo on wide in the same games.

One we could start imo as long as we had someone doing something different on the other flank, but two listless wide players both looking to slowly cut in just made our game even more plodding again as the ball could not be released forward quickly and defences were not being stretched.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Not sure I would have played Chiesa more. He just doesn’t have the pace to play out wide, which has been his preferred position. Not sure he has the passing to be a 10 or the movement and finishing to be a 9.

Still can’t believe we didn’t make any additions in January.

Imo Slot is 100% a goner. He lost Anfield, he lost most of the fan base and it has looked like he's lost many of the players too. There is no way the owners are not patently aware of this and imo are public backing him until seasons end and then he ll get the bullet. Regardless of a title win, with that outlay in the summer and forgetting results even, the level of performance and the lack of desire has been embarrassing. We are abysmal to watch, we are mentality and physically weak. For us to progress and get back to where we were, he categorically needs to go.

Massive changes in the summer, looking forward to seeing the new iteration of LFC under a new guy and hopefully some new exciting players. There's still lots of talent there personnel wise but we lack physicality which really needs to be addressed and we just need a new guy with that gets the club and the fan base, to get the passion and desire back and that won't happen under Slot.

I really hope you are right! I agree about the changes needed in the summer - sadly that just means another season in transition. Hopefully, Slot-ball is easier for the squad to forget than Klopp-ball!
We are here for a good time not a long time....

            I think so too

If the fans can see it, the owners can

We can't afford to slip out of CL places and it looks like, given the way we play, that's a risk next season

The owners get their feedback from the guys that hired slot...
They are also probably on their way out so maybe they dont have LFC best interests at heart...

Owners too disconnected and rely on yes men for feedback.

I still don't think a decision has been made, regardless of what we may think the owners/people inside the club will have to evaluate the season against what their aims were and the effects of mitigating circumstances.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I imagine minimum aim was CL football for 26/27. I think we need 4 points from the remaining 3 games to guarantee that.

I don't think "style" of football concerns them as much, especially with the mitigating circumstances this season. I doubt we've seen Slot's preferred set-up yet, what with missed signings, injuries and of course Jota's loss.

4 points is mathmatically enough to do it, but I'd say 2 is more than likely enough.

We're on 58 and Bournemouth can only get to 61 if they beat City and win the other two. Then GD and GS would come in to it.

We're going to scrape into the CL because somehow Chelsea and Villa are even worse than us!

Lose to Chelsea and he's done. It's ****ing unacceptable the amount of games we've lost. There will be boos all over the place and I've a feeling the owners will be there as it's a big home game, it won't go down well if we lose.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Owners dont give a **** if our playing style is flaccid, only interested in their investment. It could be LFC or Iceland frozen foods, not football fans and certainly not Liverpool fans.

That seems a wee bit churlish. They're not daft. They might well be in it to make money, but they know that the more successful we are, the more attractive we are to investors/buyers

We won some games but the way we played was a shameful experience, yet we spawned the result.
They will only see the result and not consider how we have crawled across the line. We may get champions league football, but only because so many other teams have stuttered their way through the league too.
They will see CL qualification as successful, but oblivious to the ****e thats being served up.
Players disinterested, fans exasperated with management, no easy fix, but keep smoking those cigars, jw

I can’t remember a season where we’ve been absolutely battered in so many games. Getting beat conceding 2, 3 or 4 goals.

                                Even under Hodgson.

                                We’re absolutely miles off it.
