The top teams have definitely dropped off but with the money around the rest have closed the gap. The style of play in the league and better coaching also makes it a lot closer.

Because there was so much chat about the Arsenal quadruple I’d not realised City are low key in for a domestic treble.

If they’d be braver and tried to really go out and win games and be more positive they’d have the league won. I think this is why city will win it and have closed the gap. While they aren’t anywhere what they used to be they still want to play and win and keep going.

This is what I think as well. Mid league teams are now much harder to beat, with high quality coaches and being able to keep their best players for longer

That, and the shift to a more attritional style of play this season with loose rules around set pieces gives every team more of a chance and makes most games more of a battle

              Not any more.

Literally impossible to win the league now.

The unbreakable Salah now pulls a hamstring.

What the feck has gone wrong with our conditioning. I hope whoever is responsible for our physical decline learns from it... World cup and reduced pre season is unfortunate timing for this team of crocks.

So, who goes into Salah's position for the last few games? Frimpong would be my guess, which might be better for Isak as Frimps will get to the byline and cross more than Salah.

Rio could also be a shout, possibly rotating with Frimps to manage both their minutes?

Age waits for no man, can’t blame this one on Slot’s team.

We've had over 20 muscle injuries this season, across the entire age range of the squad.

Have them both share the role and depending on the situation if Morrison comes onto the bench he could get a bit of experience if the games won.

It will mean Jones finishes the season at RB. That’s an interesting one as he’s always played well when asked to play there, even under Klopp. Could he be a potential RB longterm. He’d be a different type of RB that’s more about his passing and moving the ball forward rather than the overlapping attacking wide type. I really hope he doesn’t leave.

Jones is a good player. Not super physical, but a good footballer who can fill a number of roles. We would be stupid to get rid.

The only problem is it takes a few games to warm him up if he hasnt played, but most players are like that.

Yep, too many to put salah's down to age alone.

Salah has had almost no injuries for us (apart from when assaulted).

A shame this has happened. The number of injuries has been a bit shocking, especially as this was supposed to be mitigated by a low intensity game
