There's a possibility that Slot isn't up to it and that last season the changes were so slight that it was Klopp's influence that carried us. That's not inconceivable
Following on from that line of thought...Arteta finally reaches the precipice of being the nearly man and decides to leave before he's pushed and Pep continues his lacklustre worn out form. Leaving us to win another unchallenged title.
I still worry a bit about the midfield. It ran out if steam last year. Rotation at the moment is seeing Dom playing elsewhere instead of rested and we could lose Wirtz to the left attacking spot.
Hopefully Bajetic and Nyoni breakthrough this season. Jones I feel needs to learn to step up the tempo a bit in passing forward, but I feel he has dropped behind Macca Dom and Grav in terms of his performances.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

It is conceivable, but so is palace winning the league. I think arsenal are real contenders, and they're currently better than us because we're playing like ******s, but on balance of probabilities, we will stop playing like ******s at some point, probably soon.

Hope so, at the moment though it looks like Slot may not have faced a wall of 11 before, such is football in the Netherlands

Yeah, I'm not having that. Kenny was on the Overlap the other day saying that it could be a few months before it clicked but was clearly a fan of Wirtz. Sometimes players need a few months, half a season, a full season or one day. There's not a lot Slot can do to expedite that unfortunately other than get them on the training ground and play them until they learn each other's traits.
We're just going to have to be patient safe in the knowledge we have special players, even if they're not quite showing it at the moment.
It's not possible that we won't get better, but we're not winning this league. If we were going to snap back into form we would have seen some shoots of recovery by now. By the time we do I expect we'll have too much to do.
