I’m not going to worry about the performances yet, if they’re still like this in another month or two then you’ve got to ask what’s happened. But lots of changes, players look off the pace and not in form.

Two very worrying displays but max points somehow. Dom and Virg were great, everyone else gash. Wirtz and Kerkez out of the new lads have been pretty bad. Konate and Mo out of the other lads have been shocking.... Konate in particular. Early doors abut we need to improve.

Konate a big worry, Salah a worry, Kerkez looks like he’s been asked to play a completely different style to what we saw from him at Bournemouth. Wirtz going to need longer to get up to the pace of the league.

VVD and Szozbo were superb, we looked better in transition but they are ****ing horrible, peak Simeone and Pulis merged.

Oh and it sounds entitled but we need a CB and forward so badly

We need to get back to controlling games that's been a big problem in the 3 games so far (2 PL and Charity Shield), also have a bad habit of letting leads slip. Game management is a big issue.

Hoping the issue is that we are still getting used to playing together...

Maybe this game was a one-off with the circus surrounding it, and Slot went in with the mindset of getting in and getting out with minimal damage, but the fact that he has spoken about recruiting more creative talent to defeat the low-block yet we looked pretty abject vs. 10 men chasing the game is a bit of a worry.

Wirtz seems to be really struggling with the pace and physicality of the league. Kerkez just looks headless. It's very early and we are dealing with massive changes, so hopefully lads can get it together.
