And Slot for putting him on in such a hostile atmosphere late in the game to try and help win it.
That was a ballsy dummy from Dom for sure, Rio’s finish was perfect which will build confidence across the squad to give Rio his chances when he plays.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

It was more about him winning us a game there with his two goals off the bench.

100% this. If Rio put that into row Z everyone’s confidence in him would have lessened including his own. That was the sort of miss that Darwins confidence suffered from & he wasn’t the same again. ( I’m pleased Darwin has found his goal scoring boots again though )

Absolutely buzzing after that get out of gaol win but wow we really need to improve defensively after twice now throwing away 2 goal leads. It’s great to see the bench make a difference but it’d be nice to start seeing clean sheets.

And in the season before that it was Fabio scoring the late winner deep into stoppage time because they wasted so much time in the game.

Those goals are always my favourites. Forget the long range screamers the perfect team build up will always win.

Goal of the season contender early on.

40.8% - The ball was in play for just 40.8% of tonight's game between Newcastle and Liverpool, the lowest percentage in a Premier League match since February 2010 (40% in Stoke 3-0 Blackburn). Stoppages.
