The evidence for leaving him out is compelling. He can't get away with being petulant, which wouldn't have gone unnoticed, his form is dire and wasteful when we really don't need to be wasteful. His savings grace is the injury to Frimpong

He's going to miss a chunk of the season to the AFCON and often comes back knackered. The smart move is to sell him at the start of January.

Yeah but that requires him wanting to move himself and his family out of the area and also a team willing to pay big money for him, along with big wages to him, on the back of his current form.

He's the greatest Arab sportsperson ever, there's going to be no problem at all moving him to the Saudi league. It's world cup year, he'll want to be in form, and to be at the forefront of the media.

Besides that, he's earned a free transfer if it comes to it

Oh I do not doubt that those that own the Saudi or Qatari leagues would want him, but there would be a question mark, imo of course, as to whether or not Salah wants them.

I think he will. He saw the club's intention to increase competition for places in the summer but probably had the self belief to think he wouldn't be the one to be shifted on to the bench. That thought would've changed since and he'll be looking to move before there's long lasting damage. His stock in the PL has fallen swiftly

Salah isn't daft, he will know his power is diminishing at LFC so if he moves he's still a superstar, massive media personality in the arab world. If he stays and struggles then he will tarnish his solid gold image.
Salah and the club must have had the exit strategy all sorted and agreed, sign for two years, go after one, we get a fee and he boards the felucca and sails off into the Nile sunset as the next incarnation of Ramesses.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Theres no guarantee we will win this. While our form was slightly better in the previous game, I still saw them doing the same criminal things. We had in many instances 3 or 4 defenders halfway up our half and the rest of the players were mostly in a line at the penalty box area with a couple on the sides. It was like we were forming a strange circle shape with nothing in the middle. Keep doing that and the losses wont stop.

Night game away to Brentford is a very tough game especially given the way we have been defending. They will work hard & counter us, they'd be silly not to. Set pieces vs these is a real worry too.

Totally agree - Saturday night games away are designed to be banana skin games for the bigger clubs. One thing that does bode well is how well we handled the atmosphere on Weds. Their support was very impressive and when they went 1 up the place was bouncing so it bodes well as to how we absorbed that and fought back.

But we’ve got to stop the rot in the League as we can’t go 4 Ls in a row in the Prem.

If the club say it’s time and Slot says you’ll only be used as a squad player now he might well prefer to go and play regularly.

I don’t know what the best option is but moving older players on at the right time is difficult but needs to be done both showing the player respect but also being ruthless for the good of the team.

This is going to be a very tough game. There is no room for carrying any passengers here, we need our most in-form players to start.

Being dropped in the week might have given Mo the kick up the arse he needed but he will have to have been tearing it up in training to earn his place IMO. I'd be tempted to continue with the formation we had on Wednesday night and keep Wirtz on the right for this one. If we are going to go back to a 4-3-3, then I'd go with Fede and Wirtz either side of Ekitike with Jones, Dom and Grav in midfield. That might seem harsh on Gakpo but I think his goals have been masking some gash performances of late and I'd like to see Wirtz given the chance to build on his performance against Frankfurt.
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

Hendo, van der Berg, Kelleher and Fab in their squad.

A battle of the Ex No2 & the current No2 keepers.

On the flip side we play more evening games than Brentford so should have better preparation.

Salah will start, the best we can hope for is either a great performance from him or subbed when needed and not desperately at the end.

                            It's probably a draw right.

If we have title ambitions I don’t think a draw is good enough, we need to be beating these teams, this is where leagues are won and lost.

Definitely. The next 2 are must win and the man city game is must-not-lose.
