Personally I think it’s the right call, we need points now, Gomez is the better option at RB. I’m sure it was either tonight or Leeds he starts, won’t be both.

It would be so nice to have a fully fit Gomez for a period of time. He's decent, but has had such terrible luck with injury.
      Really?

Great news on Salah. Feels dirty saying that but that's life and it's true.

Wirtz to star again and score first goal.

Knowing that he's going to be gone for an extended period of time, I think Slot is doing the right thing by dropping him now. He needs to know how the team is going to play without him while he's still an option off the bench rather than tinkering once he's already gone.

I’m not saying it’s a bad call, for me Gomez is the best RB at the club but it’s very likely he breaks down and is out for 8 weeks. Slot may not be around in a few weeks if he keeps losing so he needs to win now

I would hope he's dropping him for the right reason i.e because of his poor performances rather than planning for life without him.

But either would be rational, no?

Slots put the right team out so here’s hoping they repay him.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

One would hope that, but I think he would have done it sooner, if that were the case.

A few too many aimless hoofs so far.

                            Gomez frightened to cross it

Wirtz and Isak look a little frustrated that the ball isn't moving forward more quickly, and lots of our passes look like they could be made half a second earlier. But Sunderland do look well organised.

We are finding it really hard to even get into their box, it's all too slow.
