He'll never get a huge amount of attention because he's not the quick powerful striker that the Premiership seems to favour, but he's shown he's got the knack for scoring goals.

I said it last week on 6CM, this guy has been the best value for money signing bar none in the past couple of years. £70k is all he cost.
Excellent value for Reading no doubt. But touted as a Liverpool signing? Dear god. Maybe we could swoop for him and Kanu in January?

The top 3 would be shaking in their boots.

Weve got a strong squad, any signings bar the players for the ressies etc or maybe a cover right back now need to be proven class imo to move us forward.

That's exactly what's got us in the mess that we're in...

If we dont have the cash for the RIGHT player, then for the love of god, let's wait until we can raise it. Had enough of average 'maybe' type gamble signings.

Stop giving this thread attention folks.

Irish lads creaming themselves over Kevin Doyle who plays for Reading.

He'd be good for Everton. Maybe.

You can blab all the usual ****e 'not good enough for LFC' ,'One season wonder' etc but please for the love of g*d tell me why?

He's been one of the best strikers in the EPL this season, just because he came from the League of Ireland to the Championship in England and now onto the Premiership with an unfancied side he's deemed not good enough,
                why the fcuk not?

Look i'm not saying he should be our top priority or we should even put in a bid for him but surely he has to be someone we should be keeping a close eye on in the coming months,.

Depends on how much the said player costs, I have no problems with the sub 2 mil signings of the likes of Gonzalez and Paletta and all the other kids we have in the reserve set up.

If we were talking big bucks then it would be much more of risk.

We're no exactly talking Diouf cash here are we, why not think these things through first.

Why? Because he's played about 14 fecking Premiership games!

How much do you think he'd cost? Reading aint struggling paupers, they wont be selling him for a couple of million...

                        Think things through, indeed...

And does that means he's not 'Liverpool class'?, you can tell if a player is or isn't to it after a few games.

He hasnt proven himeslf to be good enough to play for us.

Fact is, you wouldnt be saying a word about him if he wasnt Irish. Admit it.

                              It means he isnt proven.

                              Simple stuff Marky.

You wanna spend something like £5m on someone who has played a mighty 14 games in the top flight...

As I said, he's not even close YET to be considered a potential target. But who knows what the future holds. He has massive potential.
