Buenos Aires is most definitely warmer than Liverpool on a seasonal comparison, because obviously their cold season is when we have our warm season.

Over the last year is not the aveage you want to look at you need a constant averag and the constant averages (including those in my atlas) show the temps are not hugely disimilar, both a re temperate climates, the differences are minimal.
