i think he a bit of a ****, doesn't look like the team player rafa would want, to vocal when he's out injured doesn't support his team mates, criticizing them, and so on...

don't rate him as much as i did, although he's an exceptional player...

This does sound like a win-win siduation.

Can you imagine what silly season is going to be like if we're owned by the World's 5th richest man

looks like they might be going to buy us a feeder club !!!

Can't see how they can do that tho - probably a wind up

Would I have got married during the football season ?
        Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

I have no issues with Chelsea in respect of the money they spend. Its how they treat football as a whole that annoys me. No respect for anyone.
I have issue with the way they spend. At least we could say we were spending within our means when we were winning. Chelsea write off HUGE losses every year on the Verons, Crespos and Duffs they throw away.

They do have zero class too, shocking attitude coming from a club with too much money they didn't earn. Spoilt brats.

There's nothing wrong with being a wealthy club. It's how Chavski have used their wealth which makes people sick.

I can't believe the naivety of some posters on this thread. I've posted a couple of times in other threads how I see things playing out and if the news report Los Rojos saw is accurate, well my prediction will have been correct too.

We're not being taken over by a rich family. 51% of the club is being bought by an investment company.

People need to realise what the purposes of an investment fund is. Once you've realised that you can then put it alongside the objectives of the club (and the hopes/expectations of the fans) and see where the inconsistencies are.

People have said that they'll want "the best", they will. They'll want the best return on their investment.

I used to take your post seriously. Are we at the stage where TH isn't the best striker on the planet?

Why are the hopes and expectations of fans and getting a return mutually exclusive. I would argue that they are not and that getting the balance right has been done many many times. The Moores family did it!

Hmmm I see your point of view but just say you are head of an investment company with no affiliation to football. Being the head of an investment company would you REALLY look to invest in a Premier league football club in the same league as Abramovich's club?
Football clubs must be one of the worst investments you can make in the short term. To get any kind of return you have to invest long term and have a period of sustained success.

No-one is going to come in, clear our debts, fund our 200 million pound stadium and then expect a return on their investment without funding success, it'll never happen.
I don't think this venture is primarily an investment, I think they have got some affiliation with the club.

If you're only in it for money you dont invest in football, especially while taking on debt and a new stadium. These people also just throw money at other stuff without any sort of return though that doesnt mean they'll do that with us, equally because they're named an investment company it doesnt mean they're just after what you're saying either.

Maybe we should wait and see before you start your patronising "Well my prediction......" "People need to realise" ****e?

I'd also probably be more worried if they didnt actually want anything out of this, then the danger is we're Chelsea 2.
