I think you'll be talking in the region of 15-18 mill for Richards if a team like Chelsea or uber-rich Liverpool ( ) comes in for him, especially now that he's had his international call up.

But I'd hope he'd have enough sense about him not to go Russian

        Richards and Alves.

Both of them can play in many different positions and that would make our squad less vulnerable to injuries.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          Ronaldinho and Phil Neville.

Dubai firm in Reds takeover talks

A Dubai-based consortium has confirmed it is in exclusive talks about a takeover of Liverpool.

Dubai International Capital (DIC) is thought to be nearing a buy-out of the Anfield club worth £450m.

"Liverpool's investment requirements are well publicised," said chief executive Sameer al-Ansari, whose firm has begun to examine the club accounts.

"We hope we can agree a deal that will provide us with the opportunity to fund its needs both on and off the pitch."

              Comment

Would the involvement of DIC mean the Arse would lose their patronage in the future when their 10year stadium naming deal runs out? What name would the new Anfield get with the new owners - Oilfield Anfield?

what happened to all the people on here criticizing chelski, and their big budget anf that they are ruening football...

i won't say no to money but if we will start spending 100 million quid on players a season, the heart and soul of this club will seriously diminish, overnight success will be tainted by the money that bought it...

i hope this is a buisness decision not just someone throwing money away cause thay can...

I dont think we will spend like the chavs.
They wont be using LFC as a play toy, but i would think as a platform to promote the Arab state. I could see them investing significantly but also expecting a decent return.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

They are building the new stadium, paying off the debt and supplying the new ball boys.

Moores and Parry hyav got everything covered !

I have criticised Moores and Parry but that seems a bit unfair now - I have alot of swallowing to do.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I dont think people have a problem with spending £30m a player like Chelsea do its the

                              Obi Mikel saga
                              Leeds Youngsters saga
                              Kenyon saga
                              Frank Arsenen saga
They just break the rules and pay off people constantly
Then theres the public slamming off referees everytime without fail they lose a football match from the manager down to their cuntish players
Then theres the conduct of their manager and other ***** he has beside him like that Rui Feria etc

On signings, I dont think people are that bothered about paying £30m for Shevchenko, its the signing Veron for £15m then freeing him or loaning him out for years till his deal expires, same with Crespo now that pisses people off. Well thats what pisses me off anyway. I have no problem with their spending as it doesnt make games against the other 18 Premiership teams any harder.

A return ON the pitch you mean? Because they wont make one off it. Not money-wise, anyway. Unless it's done via other means, using the club as a generator of funds.
