Arsenal wants him. Sevilla have said that if they pay the price they want then they can have him.

Sevilla will sell their players for the right price. They have probably the best youth team set up together with Ajax and Barcelona.

I wouldn't have anything against if we signed up their youth team manager.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It looks like the Sevilla President again didn't tell the truth when it comes down to Alves signing a new deal. He has still not signed it.

            I wonder why........

                      By Martin Lipton

CHELSEA are ready to end their search for a right-back by tabling a £10million bid for Sevilla's Brazilian Daniel Alves.

Alves was a key component of the Sevilla team that won the UEFA Cup last season and currently stand third in La Liga.

Liverpool thought they had tied up a deal to land the 23-year-old in the summer, only to back away when the Spanish side did not lower their £12m valuation. But while Chelsea will not open the bidding at that level, their bottomless pockets will allow Jose Mourinho to make the signing he considers necessary in the transfer window.

Chelsea are still without a first-choice right-back, with Cameroon ace Geremi, a converted midfielder, filling the role now after Mourinho lost faith in Paulo Ferreira and Khalid Boulahrouz.

Doesn't say much for Maureens judgement does it. He paid about 14 million for that Ferreira didn't he. And he now has to buy again for a similar fee to replace him. Easiest job in the world really isn't it. When other managers screw up they have to live with it. When he does he just spends double figures AGAIN on a replacement. Makes you realise what a twonk he is.

The highlight of Sevilla's fourteenth win in a row in the Pizjuan must have been the performance of one of the most talked about players in the world, Daniel Alves - a footballer who more than lives up to the hype. Should Liverpool decide to throw their lot in with billionaire backers with alleged links to child slavery, then they could do no worse that spending a large chunk of the windfall on the brilliant Brazilian full back.

With his shoulders hunched like Craig Bellamy - the only way imaginable that the two could ever be compared - Alves is diarrhoea-inducing threat for opposition defenders but equally as strong at the back. Like one of those annoying yappy dogs, he has a tendency to hound opposition attackers off the ball and charge upfield with his prize. Alves is also a superb reader of the game and cut out nearly every one of Beckham's pinged-in passes, well before they reached their intended targets.
