What a fantastic boost it would be if Alves did bide his time and show Rafa, and Liverpool fans, his loyalty. This would be a tremendous coup for the club as every time I hav eseen him play he looks a class apart.
As Borat would say.... Daniel Alves, I like you!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

just like essien for 3.5 or whatever it was. lost out big timeOriginally posted by CAD View PostI think Alves might be lost for us now. Milan is in there as well now. We should have signed him for 12 when we had the chance..._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

Alves will probably move and if we pay what Sevilla want then he will join us.
The other interested clubs will have to wait and see what we will do.
That is a big plus point in our favour.
It will probably be down to if the takeover happen or not. If it happens and Rafa want to sign him then I can't see him join anyone else than us.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The one and only advantage in this situation is IF Alves and Rafa have developed a relationship.
But as we saw in the summer, it's a moot point if we can't stump up the cash that Seville are after.

There's lots of factors surrounding prising Alves away from Sevilla. Here's a list:
1. It assumes the takeover goes through. It seems highly likely with only question being the timeframe.
2. It also assumes that sufficient funds will be made available. Once again, the timeframe is a factor: will the takeover facilitate funds in time for January.
3. Will Sevilla be prepared to release Alves mid-campaign? It might take extra to persuade them to let go. But would we spend that much?
4. Other teams' interest can only serve to put little Euro signs in Sevilla's president's eyes. I can see that little ***t trying to ramp up the price again on that basis.
5. One thing's for certain, we won't be duped into a bidding war.
6. If Alves sits tight, signs nothing and refuses to negotiate with anyone but us, that will be our best shot at landing him. Even if we have to wait until the summer. I just hope this bit is true.
7. I can see us stretching to £14m and perhaps a tad more, but if Sevilla muck us about, we'll drop him like a hot tater and go look elsewhere.
I think this more or less sums it all up. Have I missed anything? No! I am NOT in denial!

He scored Sevilla's fourth goal today against La Coruna.
"Sevilla make it four!! They are running riot! A cracker from Daniel Alves, who celebrates by donning a Santa Claus hat. Joker."Just believe and you never know what will happen.
