Thanjk you.

How long has he got left on his contract?I am agreeing with you Howard - money isn't everything. Although he's not the most popular player with everyone, Harry Kewell turned down bigger offers to join us, and others have done it too.
I reckon number 6 sparkling in the trophy cabinet would help Alves to make his mind up.
2011 so it's a long time and the new contract would run until 2012.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I think we're agreeing here. However - I believe that we're still in pole position for him and secondly - Sevilla were asking £12m for him in the summer and they can't realistically up that by another £5m for a right back - who doesn't represent his country can they?
I think it's us who should be holding our nerve.
They can up the price by however much they like if they don't want to sell him. If they are prepared to cash in then the market will dictate the price. If Chelsea, Barca, and Real are interested then that will probably be too much for us. If it's only us bidding then we have a chance.

So who apart from Chelsea will pay approx £17m for a full back? The answer is nobody. Sevilla already know how good Alves is - which is why they held out for £12m last summer, which is an awful lot of money for a full-back. With the exception of Chelsea's alleged involvement - what do you think has happened to hike the price up?
I maintain that we're still in pole position to sign him - if Rafa and the board decide to go down that avenue again.

Like I said, demand could potentially hike up the price. Same with anything. If clubs like Barca, Chelsea and Real are interested then chances are they're prepared to pay more than us, takeover or no takeover.

Disagree. Chelsea would outspend us but not the other two. Only the Chavs would pay an extortionate amount of money for Alves; Barca and Real won't spend that much more than us which means we still have a chance of getting him.
If we get the chance we should definitely pay the £12m. It's not often you get the chance to sign players of his quality, the guy is absolute class from what I've seen of him. Plus he looks like a pirate!

Armed with the new money from Sheikh Mohammed, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez won't have to think twice when going for his top targets in the transfer market.
Benitez could now find himself with a transfer kitty of up to £100m as part of the £450m takeover deal.
The Kop boss, preparing for tonight's Champions League clash with Galatasaray, said: "I have talked to our chairman David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry about this and I was pleased with what I heard.
"It is always good for a club to have more money and more possibilities."
Shaun Wright-Phillips, out in the cold at Chelsea, is a huge favourite of Benitez.
Seville full-back Daniel Alves could be another target while there may be a move for Spanish hitman David Villa, who played for Benitez at Valencia.

The speculation have started and we will know probably be linked with a lot of expensive players.

All supposition, and I highly doubt Chelsea will sell to us. Would be more than happy if we did sign either of them but this article tells us nothing we hadn't already deduced
Tribal Football = utter bollocks. They make even the most elementary of mistakes. Pathetic really.
Tribalfootball just quotes newspapers and TV interviews. They don't imagine things up themselves.
