, Lecter.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well really he is CB though isn't he (bought in to replace Gallas)? He makes a capable stand in all along the backline from what I have seen, so he is a pretty good signing for them if you ask me.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostLost faith in Boulahrouz already! HA!

I wonder what alves would like to do, I would think that he would favour coming to Anfield given the Spannish influence and then new potential windfall we could be getting. Im sure Rafa is bigged up in Spain more that Maureen.Originally posted by cadmium View PostIsn't it a bit strange that the day after we announce we are nearign a deal for a substantial investment in the club, that Chelsea suddenly show there interest in a player we've been chasing? they are absolute scum
Anyway, i dont think Alves would work well at Chelsea, no attacking wingers have blossomed at Chalesa under Maureen. They are far too narrow and defensive.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I really want us to sign Alves coz I've been impressed when I've seen him - very impressed. Having said that - I haven't really seen him defensively!!! I wonder just how good he is.....Originally posted by bazza76 View PostI wonder what alves would like to do, I would think that he would favour coming to Anfield given the Spannish influence and then new potential windfall we could be getting. What intrigued me was the Chavs playing SWP last night. If they're looking to sell him as is reported then there's the possibility that his new club will be disappointed that he's cup tied for the champions league this season.Liverpool born and bred.

Ive been really impressed by him too, although i have seen nothing of him this season, but what im hearing is that he is showing his best form. IF he goes to Chelsea, he will be another SWP. Not defensive enough to nail down a regular spot. I couldnt honestly tell you how defensive he is, he is a typical Brazilian I guess. So am thinking more attack minded than defense minded. I reckon Rafa could use him alot as a midfielder/wingback anyway, not a fullback.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View PostI really want us to sign Alves coz I've been impressed when I've seen him - very impressed. Come on, even lecter will admit that no-one has a perfect source or a perfect track record with tip offs.
I've got no beef with Lecter but on this site there are no "insider wars". Everyone is treated with respect and with the relevant measure of salt.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

I know that no one has a perfect record. I respect everyone who make a tip of who we may sign in the same way.
Lecter have earned my respect just as anyone who make a tip will do if the thing they say happens but things can change very quickly so I don't blame the one who make the tip if it doesn't happen.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Sevilla want €18m for Alves...
...according to Marca.
