For the first time in his entire career here I got on his back before the game and I'm ****ing made up he made me look silly. Brilliant today. He's such an intelligent player. He could never play every week but more of that and he can stay for me. Got a lot of affection for him.

you need to drop him from your best friends list more often
your friendship with him obviously means a lot to him and he has made the effort to prove you wrong so today Lucas deserves a man hug

It's impossible to knock Lucas down, he is such a good pro.

I thought he was the best player on the pitch in the first half. He won midfield, covered in front of the CB's and was typically a colossus in the air.

Some of those 50/50 challenges were superb, his intercepts and quick forward distribution was excellent. Maybe lacks pace but his reading of the game is second to none.

Great for our young players to aspire to.

Also TAA showed great quality when he came on, gonna be a good one.

He does well against the big lumps. It's the pacey, tricky players that are an issue for him. Carroll said that Lucas was the best CB he ever played as he was very cute nudging him before every header etc. Kane might say similar.

He's obviously not the CB solution but you can't help but root for the guy.

I think he's only now beginning to trust his body again after those injuries.
