Henderson fee is supposed to be £13m + 3m add ons. Still too much.

But he's probably our most valuable disposable player, even at 10m. Could allow us to spend more on our targets. We have to look at the window as a whole.

If we're looking to get rid of Meireiles then wouldn't common sense dictate that we should sack off people like Poulson first?

I know Meireiles will command a decent fee but wouldn't it better in the long run to get rid of the dross first and with it their expensive wages.

As for Meireiles I like him, there's something about him he's a classy footballer so I will be dissapointed if indeed he does go. The only thing that's lacking in his game is tackling.

Strange one for me to be honest.

I'm sure the club are trying hard to shift Poulsen, the konk an others.

                I don't think it is.

He is really young and will only improve. If he gets better and better over the years we will have a cracking player with a decent resale value too if we decided to flog him.

I could see us making a tidy profit too. 35 mill for Carroll imho is too much even though he does bag goals.

Way it is at the moment, you need to stump up the cash.

Yes I know, I just hope we get rid sooner rather than later.

You can apply that logic to any young player though. Only time will tell I suppose.

I mean I don't think we are able to sell people in a desired order, rather we're desperately trying to find teams who will pay big wages. Fees are bound to suffer as the teams who might be interested probably aren't going to be able to pay what our players expect as well as a proper fee.

We're not going to be selling Poulsen, or even Raul, to Real Madrid.

The other issue is a lack of demand for Konk and Poulsen. Drives the price lower still.

Why the heck doesn't Hodgson make his move?!

                            Cannot say that I'm suprised.

We're well stocked in the midfield and he's the only one that can be sold for some decent money.

Wish him the best of luck but his playing time would be very limited next year anyways so it's probably wise move for him too at this point in his career.

Plus he may be able to get the wage increase that he expected from us based on informal agreement with Purslow.

Maybe it's been decided that Aquilani will take his place. Taking a lowish fee for Raul could be the least financially horrible outcome compared to selling Aquilani for peanuts and taking a huge writeoff.

I hope so. Personally very excited with healthy Aqua-man in the squad.
