Ibe did well yesterday, but Sterling had better performances. I know there are a few off the field issues, but it appears they are coming to a conclusion.
Hopefully next season he'll be able to be used more sparingly, i.e. as in impact substitute.

i worried that having signed his deal that sterling might have thought he had done enough and was a young superstar. maybe seeing other young lads step up and also challenge for 'his position' might make him realise he should not take things for granted and he needs to keep his focus.
or just sell him.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I don't really think he is, although I rate him highly. In the past we've often given a youth player a start in the final game of the season. We did it with Robinson remember? They then get put back into the reserves etc. It's nothing unusual.Originally posted by Tee View PostIbe is ahead of him in my pecking order now. Looks a far better prospect to me.
I think that will be the case with Ibe too, although he might force his way in if he's great in pre-season (as Raheem did last year).
I still think Sterling will be a first team squad regular next year, but I think it'll be another 12 months before that's the case with Ibe.
