The metro so don't get excited

Liverpool have offered Raheem Sterling around a number of Championship clubs after making him available for a loan move.

Sterling has taken the Premier League by storm this season making 23 appearances for the Reds’ first team and picking up an England cap, but he has been relegated to a fringe role in recent weeks with manager Brendan Rodgers concerned about pushing him too quickly.

The 18-year-old, who penned a new contract at Anfield in December, has now been told he can finish the season with a loan spell in the Championship instead of sitting on the bench.

It’s thought that Rodgers has already recommended Sterling to Bolton, Brighton and table topping Cardiff City, while Blackpool is another option, with a deal possibly proving a sweetener for Thomas Ince’s transfer to Liverpool in the summer

No deal is yet to be formally agreed, but Rodgers has already confirmed he is considering loaning out Sterling along with Spanish play-maker Suso.

‘Raheem has shown he can play at this level, but I gave him a week off to get away from football mentally and physically,’ said Rodgers.

‘If the young players are good enough they will be involved in the squad, but I have to look at the individual plan to see if they can be here.’

‘Obviously, there might be people who aren’t playing who might want to think about going elsewhere, but at the moment it’s a strong squad.’

Rodgers has previously rejected the notion of loaning out Sterling, but it’s thought both player and manager agreed the move at a meeting last week.

I don't see him playing much in the remainder of the season getting him and Suso loan moves (and first team football) somewhere seems sensible.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I haven't seen much of Cardiff and Brighton play this season but Blackpool or Bolton would be fine.

I thought so too from what I've read and the one game (Newcastle) that I've seen them in.

Suso and Sterling could learn a thing or two from Vicente.

As long as they both play games then any of those teams would be a good shout.

Good. He's played enough and probably has a summer of being run in to the ground by Stuart Pearce to come yet aswell.

I don't get Rodgers' approach - Sterling & Henderson start getting into some decent form & then are banished from the starting 11! Mind-botteling...
I understand Sterling is young, but if he's on form play him regardless of his age ffs!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I think that's abit unfair, IMO Sterling wasn't showing enough to be starting and I think he was overexposed plus he was dealing with that trial. I think Rodgers did the right thing in giving him a week off and the then take him out of limelight a bit.

Henderson, well ok, I would prefer him to Allen at the moment.
                        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

But Sterling's performances really dipped after Christmas and he's quite rightly not in the team at the moment.

We've just won 3 on the trot (for the first time), averaging 4 goals per game without Henderson in the starting 11 and Sterling hasn't started since December, and now you choose to question Rodgers 'approach'?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
