Exactly. The formula BR is using right now is working well, infact it's so good he should boggle it.

I think it also shows we have a hungry squad of players here, as soon as free food was offered results improved a lot.

LOL. Sterling, through no real fault of his own, is the opposite of "in form" at the moment. His impact upon games had most definitely dropped off a lot.

Besides, what Nick seems to have forgotten is that we signed Sturridge and Coutinho in Jan, who have basically now taken Sterling and Henderson's places in the first XI. Is he suggesting we drop them instead?

I don't think he's really thought it through to be honest. I'm convinced he just wakes up in the morning and thinks up something to come on here to moan about

Nick is surely being sarcastic. Must be.

I understand Sterling is young, but if he's on form play him regardless of his age ffs!

Henderson, well ok, I would prefer him to Allen at the moment.

I think Henderson is a victim of our recent formation changes (caused by Coutinho and Sturridge arrivals) in which we play with four wide/attacking players and only 2 central midfielders, where Gerrard and Lucas are the obvious first choice. I think (or hope) that he is still held in high regard with Rogers thoguh. Maybe we could try something like this against Southampton to maintain his good form and confidence:
                -------Gerrard - Lucas
                Suarez - Henderson - Coutinho
                ---------Sturridge

That would mean dropping Downing though and based on recent performances I think the team is stronger with him in it.

I know what you mean, but for me his contribution was mostly workrate, defensive stuff etc., which is exactly what Henderson brings to the table as well. To me that team looks just as strong and balanced, except the positions are shifted a bit.
I don't want to disrespect or underestimate Southampton, but it's not like we're experimenting with u18 players here, that team should be enough to beat them comofortably.

I think we got lucky against Spurs, we should have gone against them with three in the middle like this, maybe Downing instead of Coutinho as it is. If teams overrun us in midfield we'll get in trouble picking up runners and leave us way too open IMO. Henderson should play more IMO, but I'm not going to complain now.
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Henderson played wide left against Norwich and did very well. I remember saying that on paper that position would suit Coutinho very well, however he's played bit further forward in the games he's started.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I've just realised who Nick77 is.

                            He's Duncan Jenkins.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

No, what's entertaining is that most LFC fans seem to think we have a manager good enough to take the team forward...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Where do you expect us to finish then Nick?

We've been out of the top four for three seasons now with some massive changes made to the players and management.

Do you think we're better than United?
                                Moneybags City?
                                Chelsea?
                                Arsenal?
                                Spurs?

I have no idea how some fans expect us to get into the top four almost overnight when you look at the teams at the top. We're heading in the right direction but Rodgers needs time and some fans need to have a good look as to where we are compared to the teams above us and be realistic.
