Is it not equally as infuriating that people assume its a domestic issue?Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostHe wasn't on a night out though! It happened at 10.30pm in Page Moss, near Huyton. It appears to be a domestic issue with his (ex?) girlfriend. Annoys me how people instantly assume he was out getting hammered. Hopefully it's nothing and just a domestic issue.*Except Michael, who died.

Where did I say he was hammered. I assumed it was a night out. Not sure where he lives nor do I know anything about the area.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostHe wasn't on a night out though! Liverpool FC starlet Raheem Sterling spent the night in the cells after being arrested and charged with assaulting a woman.
The 18-year-old winger appeared at Liverpool magistrates' court this morning to face the charge.
He pleaded not guilty and will face a trial.
Police said Sterling was arrested at around 10.30pm in Page Moss "following an incident".
He was subsequently charged with common assault and held in custody overnight.
Sterling was born in Jamaica but moved to London with his family when he was five and grew up on a council estate close to Wembley Stadium.
He was spotted by QPR and joined them as an 11-year-old.
In February 2010 he made the switch to Liverpool for £500,000 and made the breakthrough into regular first team action under Brendan Rodgers last season.

Again you seem to have missed the fact that this "tear up" was against a woman. Would you hold that against him?Originally posted by Gibbo View PostHe only weighs about four stone dripping wet, cant see him being too handy in a tear up.
Happens to a majority of us at some point, i wouldnt hold it against the lad.

Not sure where it's been reported it's against a woman. Is there another report i've missed?
Common assault doesn't necessarily mean that it was a violent contact, it may have been the threat of violence.
Not that i'm condoning violence against anyone let alone a woman, but it's too early to hang the guy just yet.
