Having said I think a loan would be good I do think people are too quick to say that a player who isn't obviously developing is stalling. A lot of what Sterling needed to learn was about tactics and perhaps that is harder to see improve in short appearances. Rodgers certainly seems to see him as a regular contributor (albeit from the bench).

Agree with you about him gaining experience in the tactical department, but going forward he just does not offer anything right now. His touch is horrific at times when he is in good positions and he is shying away from beating the full back...I think he needs to be playing regularly right now and should look at Suso as an example as to why a loan move would be good for him at this stage of his career.Originally posted by dww View PostHaving said I think a loan would be good I do think people are too quick to say that a player who isn't obviously developing is stalling. I tend to agree. On the other hand he might be concentrating on the tactical changes to much at the minute and needs to adjust his thinking a bit. At another team the coaching might not be designed to aid his long term development. I guess January would be a good time to see how he is progressing.Originally posted by Tee View PostAgree with you about him gaining experience in the tactical department, but going forward he just does not offer anything right now. Liverpool and England starlet Raheem Sterling linked with Derby County and Swansea City
By Derby Telegraph | Posted: November 10, 2013
LIVERPOOL'S Raheem Sterling could go out on loan and some reports are linking him with a move to Derby County.
Other reports have the 18-year-old winger heading to Swansea City.
England international Sterling has made nine appearances for Liverpool this season and he was an unused substitute in their 4-0 victory over Fulham at Anfield on Saturday.
Derby already have a Liverpool player on loan in Andre Wisdom.
Liverpool's reported interest in signing Rams midfielder Will Hughes in January means any possible deals between the two clubs are billed as potential new twists in the Hughes transfer saga.
Rams chief executive Sam Rush recently dismissed any link between Wisdom joining Derby and Hughes heading to Liverpool as pure speculation.

Also linked with Everton earlier.
Think a loan will do him good, but he's also a decent option to have on the bench. We're not really playing with wingers ATM though, so I guess we can risk letting him go.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

If he played I think it would make sense. Wouldn't have to move, could take points off opposition, play decent football. I don't think he would get on though and it was a bit of a nothing article, so I can't see it.Originally posted by Reece View PostLoaning him to Everton would be a bit odd.
I know you probably think we shouldn't be strengthening a rival, but I'd like to think we shouldn't be considering Everton a direct rival.
