How short ? i was thinking 2 years and he could realistically be a title winner, that could happen with chavs, scum or Citeh imo with the players they'll be looking to bring in over that time.

Whereas in the same time scale, we'll be hoping to have achieved top 4 status again.

I hope he does choose to stay, it'll be a good sign that players are willing to give it a go here, rather than jumping ship at the first opportunity to one of the rich clubs, we need the good young players we find to stay on here, and become part of our future, otherwise we'll have to buy ready made quality, and the competition for the best players is fierce, overpriced and overpaid!

He's 18 on the 8th of December, all will be revealed about his intentions then.

I've seen stuff suggesting he wants to go back south and his agents have been in talks with 2 London clubs for months, hence the deleted tweet.

      Time will tell.

        I don't think he'll leave.

I actually believe he'll be here for quite some time, think he really enjoys playing for us, he's starting to fight for his teammates and for us as fans in his performances.

Really like him, had to stop following him on Twitter though as he kept going on about his 7 kids and Jesus all the time and what boots he's buying next. He also can't spell for ****, neither can Shelvey.

Good footballers though the both of them.

strong ties to london, so might want to go back there.

could we sign him up and agree to 50k a week, then immediately stick a price of 20m [maybe more?] on him. if he wants to go then lets get something for him.

go and spend 5m on ince.

If we let Sterling go, Henry is giving us the message:

Liverpool are a selling club, Ajax mark 2.

Liverpool are NEVER going to compete with the top clubs anymore.

So, for ****'s sake Henry give him the 50 k and sell downing if you can. Sterling is only 17 and he is in the first 11, he's our gem.

Sign the contract because you want to wear our shirt.

I'm amazed that fans (some, not many) are already turning on him when he's done absolutely **** all to prove any disloyalty to the club.

                        Wind your necks in.

Might I add, I feel this way generally.
This is not aimed at Raheem but any player who needs to 'contemplate' whether to sign for us or not.

I hope any contracts we draw up don't have minimum release fees. It puts a price on their heads right away.

Agents and advisers look after themselves first, players second. Any "advice" they give is generally based on ££££££££££££££.

Not suggesting that players shouldn't try and get a good deal as I'm sure clubs, like any employer will try and screw them down to the lowest possible outlay.

I hope Sterling does listen to Rogers but it must be really hard for any 18 year old to know who to trust in a situation like this.

They're all paid obscene wages anyway - **** em all

Its very sad that agents look at players as meal ticketsbut its even sadder when 17 year old players have agents.
