If he doesnt sign we should bench until the end of season, we have spent time developing him and given him games in th PL, if he wants to go then give someone else his chance.

18 next week. Not long now before he signs his mega deal.
edit: With someone.
Seriously though, if we can't keep Sterling, what's the point of this plan of bringing youth through and not buying success, if everytime we have one that's looking like he's good enough, he just gets taken off us by the super wealthy?Last edited by Vermilion; 01-12-12, 10:35 AM.

As ever we are handling this terribly, we really do need a much stronger PR and media relations department. Whenever a situation begins to play out in the media you know we will make sone mistakes. Surely Sterling has done enough to suggest he will be a huge part of our future. Not sure why Brendo felt the need to go public on this one at all...Modifying post.

We had a good fella in the door who was working hard to overcome the amateurish operation that's been in place for years.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostAs ever we are handling this terribly, we really do need a much stronger PR and media relations department. Pounds Sterling: United want Liverpool wonderkid to replace Nani
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...derkid-1468664
Manchester United are considering an astonishing swoop to steal Liverpool contract rebel Raheem Sterling from their greatest rivals, writes the Sunday People. People Sport understands Sir Alex Ferguson is monitoring Sterling, 18 next Saturday, who could be a long-term replacement for unsettled Nani.
Direct transfer activity between the two clubs has been non-existent for decades but Sterling has so far stalled on agreeing his first major contract, alerting United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Just another Sunday morning column filler (hopefully)

It's going to be non stop till he signs or leaves.
Could be his agent putting all this ****e out there, either to get a better deal, or get a move to a title challenging club, as i said before, he may have the option of becoming a Premiership winner by the age of 20, will he turn that chance down if offered ?
It's ok saying he'll get games at lfc with BR, but if he backs himself and his talent, he'll think that playing under Ferguson or Wenger will make him a better player, and he'd be right probably, not saying they'd make him any better than if he stayed here, but it can't imo be used as reason for him to stay, by saying he'll get less games and so end up a failure if he leaves for instance.
We just have to put up with this ****e for now unfortunately, but not for long i don't think. One way or another... when he turns 18...it'll get sorted soon after.Last edited by Vermilion; 02-12-12, 12:35 AM.
