Love the way they are all playing but we dont have anybody who can finish .. Henderson Sterling Coutinho Allen etc .. if one of them could finish like say Ramsey or even Barclay it would be the icing on the cake ... we only got the s.a.s & gerrard

Sterling has been good but Sturridge was our match winner at the start of the season and by far our best player then. Would be crazy to keep him out of the team when fit.

Sturridge would have buried the Suarez cross, just saying.

He might though, it depends on all sort of things. Saying 'won't' without knowing which fixture he'll be available for is just guesswork.

He won't Norbs. It's not guesswork.

Barkley is a **** finisher mate. His shots were literally in Row Z in their last match.

Ramsey went through a patch but he's no finisher.

His performances have been brilliant of late. The key difference for me is the kind of runs he is making - he is more intelligent with his runs and is reaping the rewards.

Can anyone else think of a player who gets put through 1-v-1 as much as him? He is making the right runs, at exactly the right times. Maybe Luis has been having a word

Hope the lad keeps it up. My only concern is will his performances drop after a number of games like last year? Time will tell.

If he could finish like he'd be almost unplayable on the break, he has so much speed and makes such great runs like you say.

Tbf he was only 17 when he played his first games last season, I think the improvement in him has been excellent but if he tails off it's probably only natural. I trust Rodgers to manage him.
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

So once fit again, are you predicting he won't make the match day squad or that he'll be an unused sub? BR has played recovering players from the start of matches before and then taken them off when they've faded. FWIW, I prefer when they ease them back in with a cameo

Sterling reminds me a little of Walcott, frightening pace but not the best finisher until he was 21/22 and had 4 or 5 seasons in the league.

His composure infront of goal will improve and he's only going to get better IMO as long as he keeps working in the same manner he appears to be.

He'll be eased back in. We'll have to alter our formation when sturridge comes back and if we keep this form going, Rodgers will be in no rush.

I was going to post something similar but know that Walcott isn't held that highly on here

They are similar in that speed is their prime asset but Arsenal play Walcott as a wide player and I think Sterling does his best stuff through the middle. Sterling is a better dribbler, maybe he's learning that from Luis. Walcott and Sterling suffer from the occassional poor first touch, I think if Sterling can develop that then he'll be a better player as Walcott doesn't seem to be able to.

Not to mention Sterling has as many goals as Barkley having not started nearly as many games.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

To use a cliche, Barkley is a scorer of great goals, rather than a great goalscorer at the moment.

Raheem like many others will become a better goalscorer as he gets older.

He's scored 3 this season, one of which was a great free kick. We can't really tell how good he is in that regard.

Both sterling and coutinho will improve over time.
