Tbf he was only 17 when he played his first games last season, I think the improvement in him has been excellent but if he tails off it's probably only natural. I trust Rodgers to manage him.
The finishing should come over the next few years. He does need to work on his left foot though - has no power in it whatsoever.

I'm kind of waiting for his performances to dip again due to his age. Would love to be proved wrong though!

They are similar in that speed is their prime asset but Arsenal play Walcott as a wide player and I think Sterling does his best stuff through the middle. Sterling is a better dribbler, maybe he's learning that from Luis. Walcott and Sterling suffer from the occassional poor first touch, I think if Sterling can develop that then he'll be a better player as Walcott doesn't seem to be able to.
this made me think back to our january window when we bought sturridge.
several people poo poo'd sturridge and said they would much prefer walcott instead

Mirror suggesting we might loan him out.

        Bollocks surely.

Of course, it's Darren Lewis. One of the biggest bull****ters in journalism history.

I know we have some injuries but he's in the side every week and performing well ffs, as if we'd loan him.

No way can i see that happening. As you say, he obviously has the confidence of the manager, and after the reports of him being impatient to get his chance (or at less his mum) I can't see him being happy to go to a lesser team now he's making a name for himself at Liverpool. I would think he'd rather find another permonent club than go on loan and there would probably be a number of takers.

It would be a stupid thing for us to do, never mind what Sterling might think about it.

Salah could be a flop or take time to settle and Sterling is well integrated into the team and playing style. We have to at least keep him until the summer and then if we do buy someone like Salah and he's a big hit we need to make a decision to sell or keep.

I'd rather keep him to fight for his place though, I think he has a lot of potential and also we mustn't forget about the home grown talent rules for the Champions League.

                  BS.

We would never loan our current starter that is playing very well for Salah a player that has no premier league experience especially during the time when we have realistic chance of getting into CL.

If a player will be loaned it could only be Ibe.

Ibe on load would be great. Perhaps for a team like Hull or Swansea.

                      no way

even if we signed salah or any other attacking player - we're signing them because we lack a quality squad - so if we let Sterling go on loan, we'd just be in the same position.

Rodgers keeps saying we're paper thin as a squad, letting a player who's getting regular games and doing well go on loan is never going to happen

Total BS and to be honest what we have come to expect from the Mirror. With our squad down to the bones loaning out one of our first team regulars who has been performing well recently is exactly what we need to do

Alberto needs a loan far more than Sterling does.
