Fair play to young sterling. I had practically written him off but he has come roaring back and gets better every game. Its ridiculous how judgemental we fans can be sometimes.

I don't get this. Why had you? Not just aimed at you BTW Ed, but a lot of people and written him off ages ago and I asked the same then?Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostFair play to young sterling. Regardless of his current form, he had already shown he can cut it in the PL at 17 and was always too good for our reserves, so what at 18/19 had people written him off?If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Personally i thought he needed a loan move, didn't think he looked mature enough to be in the starting 11 and his raw talent needed games. Definitely didn't write him off but didn't see this resurgence coming. Long may this last & credit to Rodgers how he has managed Sterling clearly it's paying off.

While I thought that a loan would benefit him, I also agreed with whoever said our squad was too thin to let him go and we needed him here. Hopefully he keeps up this great form.Originally posted by danperkins View PostPersonally i thought he needed a loan move, didn't think he looked mature enough to be in the starting 11 and his raw talent needed games. To be honest i thought we would get players in January and then loan him out... but he has been superb since coming back in to the team and rightfully earned a starting place.

I know it's mad isn't how impatient we fans can be. For me it was the early hype, the initial impact he had then he disappears and there is all the crap about the kids private life.Originally posted by RedReet View PostI don't get this. Why had you? I need to give myself a slap.

Still lacks the final product but he is only 19 and better ball control in the final third and better ball delivery should come with time but the ease with which he was beating his man and getting by Cardiff defenders was truly impressive.Originally posted by RedReet View PostWhile I thought that a loan would benefit him, I also agreed with whoever said our squad was too thin to let him go and we needed him here. Think a lot of that is down to Suarez though, similar to how our mid fielders don't play their natural game when Gerrard is playing. Can't help either that Suarez gives him a bollocking every time he doesn't pass it to him.Originally posted by Mostar View PostStill lacks the final product but he is only 19 and better ball control in the final third and better ball delivery should come with time but the ease with which he was beating his man and getting by Cardiff defenders was truly impressive.
