Probably just a tad optimistic. If Sterling in a couple of years can be even close to how good Barnes was at the age Sterling is now, then Sterling will be a hell of a player.

Don't think Sterling will ever go on to be in the same class as Barnes, but then again very few players reach that level, and a player can be not as good as Barnes was, whilst still being a top player.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He has really developed this last few months - he was quick, but was a bit too predictable when he started playing for the first team. He has learnt a lot recently and it's remarkable how important he has become for such a young lad. If he stays focussed he can become a top top player. It's a great example for the younger players, shows young talent that if they make the effort they can make that step up. We must be a great option for young talented players with the likes of Kelly, Flanagan, Sterling etc getting their opportunities.

Having Kono or Salah would have helped our squad but Raheem has been in such fine form that our inability to sign either is not a big loss as long as he stays injury free and continues to play as he did especially as of late

He's almost there with the goals, he always seems to shoot right at the keeper (he did it against Norwich but scored).

But it's hugely encouraging nonetheless that he's in those positions in the first place.

Final product lacks just a little bit, but hopefully that will come with time. Besides that he's really coming along nicely. Going to be some player if he keeps improving like this.

Whoever has helped settle him down deserves a pat on the back. Whether it's Stevie or Brendan I don't know but after a wobbly period where some thought he was going off the rails, he's steadied himself & seems to have it all together again. Long may it continue.

Hes a 19 year old lad. Seems to have had a few wobbles in while learning how to be a functioning person. But he is on the right track I think.

Imagine in 3 years time when he has been tearing up the league for us, he will still only be 22

For all the praise Januzaj rightly gets, Raheem doesnt get anywhere close to it. Guess its a good thing as it lets him develop properly out of the spotlight.

Yeah the less pressure Raheem is under the better. In fact the less praise he gets the better too. I think it all went to his head a little last season which is understandable for someone so young.

He seems to have got even quicker now, I'd say he's near Bale quick! If he can improve his decision making, final ball and his composure in front of goal he will be unstoppable in a year or two.

His strength and ability to shield the ball and hang on to it under immense pressure is outstanding.

He's much cleverer with the ball now and his ability to draw fouls is excellent. I don't doubt he'll suffer from a few more bad patches as he matures, its to be expected, but he's proving right now what an exceptional talent he is.

he's great at getting his body across the ball, turning quickly - it puts the defenders on the back foot and he either draws a foul or skips away.

he was our standout player yesterday.

with experience his final decision making will come - be it a shot/pass etc.

He has blinding pace in short bursts, strength in possession, skill and close ball control all seem to be coming together. He looked excellent against WBA and has been performing well for weeks. I wonder if the Moses loan gave him a kick.

WBA could only foul him to stop him. He's made a really big step up recently.

I think he's benefitted from some tutelage from Suarez!

Absolutely. Getting his body between the ball is especially similar
