I don't understand why he's not getting a chance either, it's not as if we have so much to play for in the league and he's got this fierce competition of quality players on the wing.

I’d like to see him make the odd cameo, but no 17 year old should be in a position to be demanding first team football. If this is true then I’d happily get rid.

I guess the Football Manager team did their research on him, he’s quite the mercenary in the game, signing for new clubs every season.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The kid has the potential to become a world class player of the highest tier, if we lose him over this then Kenny deserves the sack for it alone.

I hope you're joking with this comment?

If his attitude isn't right I doubt he'll reach his potential. If he's kicking up a fuss at 17, getting girls knocked up all over the shop then I'd have slight concerns. That's if it is all true though

Pride? Half a million pounds a position? Address some of our faults? Try different passages of play? See if the players are capable of turning it round?

Liverpool are facing a fight to keep wonderkid Raheem Sterling as Kenny Dalglish continues to ignore calls for the teenager to be handed a first-team role.

And Tottenham plan to pounce on the uncertainty over Sterling's future with a shock summer move.
The England Under 18 star is widely recognised as the best young prospect at Anfield but the Merseysiders could lose the 17-year-old at the end of the season due to his frustration at the lack of first-team chances.
Red alert: Sterling is frustrated at lack of first-team opportunities

Sources close to the forward claim the talented teen is struggling to settle in Merseyside and is now said to be considering his future.

The source also added that Liverpool have broken promises made to Sterling over his level of first-team involvement this season.

In 2010, Liverpool paid QPR £500,000, in a deal that could rise to £6million, to sign Sterling as a 15-year-old.

In February 2011, he looked set to become the youngest player in Liverpool's history - at 16 years and 71 days - when he was named in the squad to face Sparta Prague in the Europa League.

Bright future: Sterling has represented England at junior levels
However, he is still to make his full debut despite being told he would be given chances.

Sterling is set to feature in tomorrow night's NextGen Series semi-final against Ajax and Sportsmail has learned that a senior Tottenham scout will attend the clash specifically to watch the youngster.

All this is is a slow news day at the mail. The biggest load of books with two ell's I've read today.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

So we have a 17 year old supposedly annoyed because he cant get into the first team......right.

How many other 17 year olds play in the first teams of clubs?
                          *Except Michael, who died.

I'm dubious too (if only because it comes from the Mail). To be fair though you can see why players might think they ought to be getting chances given how average some first teamers form is. I really think we should be looking to get some game time for a few of them.

It's weird, you'd think all the papers would piling on the uncertainty about not keeping a manager after this season!

Sterling is in my mind the best young talent in the country for his age group. It doesn't suprise me at all if this article turns out to be accurate as I imagine there are a lot of club managers watching him given he has torn a new one out of every single one of their youth teams.

He should be getting game time above anyone else in the reserves and although I doubt he is kicking up a fuss it's quite possible people will start trying to put throughts in to his head to unsettle him.
