I agree that at seventeen he's still a kid himself and i remember fatherhood affecting gerrards performances when his little girl was born because of sleepless nights. These sort of things affect anybody in any profession let alone a seventeen year old.

Its might also be a hell of a coincidence that this came out after he signed his professional contract but im not sure if it was known beforehand.

It made me grow up and focus on getting a job and making a decent go at it. It took a while to get used to, and it will for him too.
