He would be the clinical striker we are begging for and he wouldn't have to do it on his own. Just can't see him being good enough anymore

think it's all mental with Torres, he's not loved at CFC like he was with us and the response he got to leaving us I think has left him shell shocked.

He's still got the talent IMO

Drogba is old, Chelsea love him, lets get the pr machine running telling the chavs how Carrol is a perfect replacement for dogbreath and as a favour what we would be prepared to do is swap our no.9 for theirs and they give us say 15 mill as well.

        Id take that.

I'm not sure how the same Torres who is missing sitters for Chelsea, would be the 'clinical' striker we need.

He'd still be better than Carroll though.

Only cause he's better looking. He's been playing **** for a long time & there's some mad romantic views and how he'd be much better playing with Downing & co instead of Mata & Lampard.

I'd suggest Torres has had easier and more goalscoring chances than Carroll has.

                      NO.
Let him drown in buckets of a.cole, drogba, lampard and terry's jizz.

Get that mental image in your head
all of them taking advantage of him.

More, yes. But then his movement is incomparable. And he's proven he has it in him, unlike Carroll. I probably would be happy to take him back on the right terms, bit I dout Chelsea would sell for the price that would make sense.

Torres movement is fantastic, when he's not static and waiting for something to happen like in the box. IIRC Torres said Rafa taught him alot, where to stand, what to do etc. I'm surprised Kenny has not worked his magic wand on Carroll yet in similar vien. [Kenny being natural gifted in that department; to teach Carroll a thing or too and Rafa being a strategist]

You forget he's from Newcastle, it'll take a while to get it into his heed.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has lifted the lid on his much-maligned £50million from Liverpool, claiming Merseyside was a much ‘more comfortable place’ than London....

The Spaniard has struggled for form and goals since making his record breaking switch on transfer deadline day in January this year, and has finally broken his silence about the struggles he’s faced since the move.

‘Chelsea is in London, a huge city. I come from Madrid, also a great European capital, but this is much more of everything, for good and for bad,’ said Torres.

‘It’s been difficult for me to adapt here compared to when I arrived in Liverpool, a more comfortable place, smaller, where I was surrounded by Spanish team-mates.

‘In the end, the important thing is to try and organise yourself as quickly as possible. That’s what I’m doing.’

Liverpool were in decline when Torres decided to up sticks to Stamford Bridge, and despite the signing of Luis Suarez, couldn’t be persuaded to stay at Anfield.

Since then the Reds have undergone a resurgence under Kenny Dalglish, but Torres insists he doesn’t regret making the move south.

‘The only thing I know is that opportunities such as the one Chelsea offered me cannot be turned down. The important thing is the confidence they have in me,’ added the striker.

‘Liverpool was going down a strange path. Personally, I believe the departure of Xabi Alonso to Madrid was a clear message that something was changing.

‘I have the ambition to improve and Chelsea could offer me what every footballer desires: money.’
