I'd have no bitterness if he hadnt pledged himself to the cause some 10 days before slapping in a transfer request, and leaving us ****ed with hardly any time to replace him properly.Originally posted by destinydude View PostI'm actually grateful to him for funding us with 50m.
Owen is a judas cunt in that he went for faar less money than he should have gone. Torres hardly had a case. We were under achieving and he wanted greener pastures. He lay his bed and he's sleeping in it now.
But he went for a fair price so no bitterness from my side.

You do realize that neither him nor the club are that daft right?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI'd have no bitterness if he hadnt pledged himself to the cause some 10 days before slapping in a transfer request, and leaving us ****ed with hardly any time to replace him properly.
He told the club mid January that he wanted to leave and there was a talk that he would probably leave in Jan and we were already looking for replacements. The only thing that held the transfer up till the deadline day was the transfer fee.
Either way Dalglish wanted Carroll and he got Carroll. So we were hardly hard done by.
If anything it's your fault for being too emotionally attached to him. Players pledge all the time and leave all the time. I thought one would have learnt from Owen's move as a fan.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

Sorry but if we'd really had 2 weeks notice of it, we wouldnt have signed Carroll for £35m. Dont believe a word of it. Nothing to do with being emotionally attached, someone screws me over, that makes them a cunt. I was emotionally attached to Alonso (and countless others) too, but i dont consider him a cunt for wanting out.Originally posted by destinydude View PostYou do realize that neither him nor the club are that daft right?

We had two weeks' notice but we did not know the price we would get, who we would buy was contingent on that and we probably had alist based on what we would get.
We went in for Carroll because he was high priority otherwise we wouldn't spend 35 mill just for the heck of it.
Kenny rates/rated Andy back then and that is why we bought him despite the OTT price tagPatience when teased often, transforms into rage

You have a tremendous insight into the goings-on inside Anfield....Originally posted by PC Plod View PostAre you saying Carroll is **** Craigs? Chris will soon be paying you a visit.
Not by any stretch of the imagination, i have faith that Carroll will come good. But clearly £35m was too much.

JWH has said since that the deal was in place, and he basically told us that whatever Chelsea paid, we would pay £15m less for Carroll. So I think the deals were linked.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostSorry but if we'd really had 2 weeks notice of it, we wouldnt have signed Carroll for £35m. Dont believe a word of it. If we'd squeezed another £20m out of Chelsea, do you think we'd have paid £55m for Carroll?
It's just said as a good PR tool, but i think it's bull****.
