I may be worng, but what Torres is doing in Psychology terms is known as Cognitive Dissonance - he's trying to convince himself he's made that right decision when the reality is, he knows he's made the wrong decision. He's effed up. To me, he will forever be remembered as Fernado *******o

I entirely blame Hicks and Gillett mate but Fernando Torres has changed as a person. Maybe this was because of the dark times he had at Anfield but the change happened before he left. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the injury he picked up before the world cup that has left him a lesser player. He doesn't seem to have that air of confidence about him anymore and gets defensive rather than laughing off any suggestive questioning as he used too.Originally posted by dww View PostI really think a combination of a change of view point from those reading the quotes and the fact he is now asked different questions due to his lack of form is the answer. The last quotes could be read as containing a lot of regret but everyone seems too keen to bash him to look for that.
It is a shame it had to end the way it did but I really think the only people we should be angry with are HIcks and Gillet who ****ed so much up.

It'd be good if this was more widely understood.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Are threads about Rafa, Messi, Man United and so on any more or less relevant than us discussing an ex-player of ours? I don't have to explain to you the sort of player Torres was for us do I? Or the circumstances in how he left?Originally posted by Icon View PostYeah, that's what I said.
Yep, if you read the really smal print I said that too.
Simple solution is that if you don't like the subject of the thread then don't bother reading it. But you know that, eh?
