surely not
i had a look on the CFC net forum
they seem to have changed their tune a bit - from slagging him, they have gone into denial....it's now not torres's fault, he is actually good, but the other players don't like him or aren't good enough to play with him and their midfield is too blamei own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

i cant believe he is as bad as we want him to be, i thought he was getting back from injury then obviously under long ball bodge it clearly didnt play to his strengths.
he does seem to have lost a bit of pace and the killer instinct.
is he shot? i find it hard to believe but surely he will improve

I think he's shot. "Lost a bit of pace" is a massive understatement, remember how he used to glide past people at will? Searing pace, and it seems to have completely eroded. Factor in an almighty loss of confidence and the result is what we see now. He's not even half the player he was in his prime for us. In a way it's quite sad, the guy was the best around and to see him scrubbing around trying to control basic balls and being unable to run past slow coaches like Carrick is painful viewing. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

his acceleration was what i found most astonishing.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI think he's shot. i suppose the question is how good will he be when confident?

Yeah I think once he gets his confidence up again he can still score goals at this level, he's not completely finished or anything. But I'm certain he'll never be the same player again, certainly not the best no.9 in the world which he most definitely was. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The Margi Clarke banner is ringing true for them now!!
I was in London last night, and watched the match in a pub close to King's Cross station - it was full of plastic chavs - they where hurling dog's abuse at him.
They were calling him "Margi Torres" and shouting such lovely things like "F**k off back North you Scouse ****" - they were saying "We should've signed Suarez instead.."
I nearly peed my pants..
Torres will find himself in no mans land down there - somebody once posted here..
"We will find another Torres, but Torres will never find another Liverpool"
how true

Obviously this drought won't last for ever, he will score sooner or later, and will regain his confidence. I think as other people have said he's lost something from his game, and IMO he'll never be as good as he was. That said he could still be a good or even very good player again.
The Chelsea fans obviously won't give him the time that we would have, and it seems at least some of them are starting to get on his back, even if he goes on to become a top player for them he will never be held in the same regard he was here. And if he doesn't get close to his best next season that could pose a big problem for Chelsea
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's is a damning stat.
