Chelsea have still got a good player, they may have paid over the odds which would be good for us, but time will tell on that. IMO Chelsea would be foolish to sell him in the summer, although I suspect that this is just newspaper speculation (although you never know with Chelsea).

I think he’ll come good again too. In the past few years with us he didn’t seem to accept that he’d lost that yard of pace and continued trying things that he was no longer capable of. He’d take on too many players, hit the ball into space expecting to accelerate onto it, it was very frustrating. Now he’s in a new team, he’s no longer even able to make the runs he’s used to making and the team is no longer centred around him. It’s no excuse for a £50m player, but once Torres accepts his limitations and plays to his and the teams strengths, then I think he’ll start scoring regularly again.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Can't help but think physically he's going the way of Owen. These players who break through early, can break down early. I think we've started to see it with Rooney as well - of course there are weird anomalies like Ryan Giggs, but I don't think Torres has ever had the skill and game intelligence to alter his style like Giggs or even Shearer did.

He's probably going to have to get used to being a rotated player wherever he ends up now, his body will limit him to that now. As a result, he's never going to have a team built around him like Rafa did for those two years with us. We saw the best of him, but to say you wouldn't have him back as a squad player is a bit silly.

          From CFC.net:

what I would do if I could rewind time is never look at torres again and wouldnt buy him and buy suarez we need someone like that for chelsea badly a hard working attacker who has amazing talents, something that is rare now a days.

But form is temporary and class is permanent.
            Oh I don't know.

We're better off without him as with him we were too easily negated. Tuttah Nando, your loss

And yeah obviously I hope he scores tonight. Goes without saying. If he goes through one v one there's only one outcome I want to see.

having seen carroll score his first for england and now his first two for liverpool, and suarez not just scoring but completley bamboozle defences, plus last nights performance and result i'm on a bit of a high - so if torres is ever to score an important goal for chelsea without it bothering me too much - tonight is the night

Obviously first and foremost i want a chelsea a win - a chelsea win with another torres blank would be sweet - but if chelsea win and nando plays his part i won't be too fussed right now
