Don't think I'd have him back for a tener at this stage, read a good quote a few months ago " Liverpool stopped winning trophies when they signed Fernando Torres" looking forward to next season... I feel sorry for him really, if only money could buy sense.
i had the very same thought this morning and i would re-sign him and i think Torres is now realizing the mistake he made

Not sure lads......even if I could get over the betrayal (which I don't believe I can), I think there were enough warning signs there that we'd already seen the best of him and that footballer wasnt going to make a consistent enough return (even taking into account his injuries and Hodgson era).
Playing like the muppet he is at the moment would have significantly affected any price we would have got for him the summer, so maybe we should count ourselves fortunate that there was a rube out there with 50m burning a hole in his pocket.

At a heavily reduced price, with an apology, and if he was scoring goals at even 75% of the rate he was a couple of years ago he would be phenomenal with Suarez.

I'm more convinced of this than the £35m we spunked on a Championship player.

I'd bid £5m and throw in Jovanovic as a sweetener.

            10m + P&P included and its a done deal.

Few players leave Liverpool and better themselves.

Those that killed her, were following the law.

It's almost as if Chelsea hadn't watched him play during the past couple of years. The £50M just seemed to be for the reputation he'd built up during his first two seasons with us, plus shirt sales. The most ridiculous overpricing of a player by a long mile.

Steve McManaman is the only one I can think off of the top of my head.

Guess how you define better themselves.

Alonso is the heartbeat of a great Madrid side. Or Mascherano looks nailed on to collect a championship medal even if he isn't first choice.

I was saying the same thing the other day. I think Alonso might be another though...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

At some stage you are going to look back on this comment and feel very silly

Agreed, but Alonso hasn't won anything.... yet!
And Mascharano is a bit part player for Barca, but arguably they will both go on to better things. It does not seem to be the norm though.

Owen will. He'll pick up a Premier league medal, maybe a european cup and a fa cup. Owen! Owen

Needs to make 3 more appearances for that. Chances are he'll injure himself before that happens.
