i am not sure he is still Fernando Torres though, I think he needs 6months in the priory sort his head out.

      he looks shot.

Imagine if we got him back for 10million
even better, we got him back for £10m and came back smiling and hugging gerrard - instantly hit it off with suarez and carroll and all three of them being rotated etc scored 20 goals each next season

He is Barry Torres, Fernando's evil twin brother.

i'm confident that whilst we might not be going out and signing ribery, mata, lahm and bale - we will improve, because the only benefit out of having such ****e options (poulsen, konk, jovanovic - i'm looking at you!) it shouldn't take to much effort to improve upon them -

it was kinda my point the other day with my thread on wha players would you take - if you ship out all the lads who are out on loan and then add people like poulsen and jovanovic who contribute nothing to the team.....then even average prem players would improve us - if we get half decent ones we're laughing, if we get good ones we're sorted and if we get top class we're laughing!

And then - on the other hand - chelsea are a mess.....they will no doubt sack ancelloti - they will bring in a new manager, and he will have to rebuild a squad.....Terry, Anelka, Lampard, Malouda, Drogba, Tranny - all players on their way out - i think that ok they have the money, but it will harder for them to rebuild a team to get the best out of torres, than it will be for us
Losing to struggling sides is nothing new for us though. It's the frequency with it that's baffling recently. West Brom, Stoke, Blackpool x 2, Everton, West Ham, Blackburn and Wolves. That's a shocking list when you consider we've had 13 points out of 21 against the top 4 who are supposedly miles ahead of us. Consider that against 12 points from 33 against the bottom 6

                      - yeah sorry - we been like that for 10 years - what i was more looking at and meaning - is in our new era if you like - since fsg have come in and kenny has taken over, we've signed carroll and suarez - the has been a dark cloud lifted over liverpool and the place seems almost europhic....we've had wins over the likees of city and united which show us that we potentially have brighter times ahead, but also we have the west brom type performances that bring us back down to earth and show us how short of quality we actually are

Nah, torres just turned 27 last month.

How much would you pay to get him back ? 20m ?
I'd be very reluctant to take him back now. Aside from being a lying little ****, he's just not very good.

Obviously there has to still be SOME kind of talent there, you cant go from what he was in 2008, to **** just 3 years later. But in fairness, he wasnt GREAT for us in the last 12-18 months either. So based on him returning to the torres of the last 12-18 months (cos he aint returning to the torres of 2008), then you'd pay what? £10m perhaps. £15m tops. That's probably his value.

                            But i wouldnt want him.

Not sure we'd need him though? I mean, when you take into account how much damage his sulky ways do to spirit, not to mention the way he turned his back on us, he'd do more harm than good.

He's clearly better than he is showing now, although I don't believe he'll get back to where he was. I know it's only a couple of months but we've moved on, I'm not sure where he would if into the system that Kenny is building.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
