I think he's worked hard and battled well. We shouldn't be relying on him to win games for us. Worked well with Clyne on that right side, but it was a ballsy move by Klopp to take him off and go for the win.
Pretty clear that Klopp fancies Can & Lucas in the middle. Good luck Hendo getting in that side.Forwards.......

He's been getting alot of stick lately but he's a good player. He will have a fight on for a place in the strongest 11 when Henderson is fit, but with the high energy game we play you would imagine that we will have to rotate the midfield in particular. Any of him, Henderson or Can coming off the bench and pressing with fresh legs for the last 20 mins of a game would be the last thing a tiring opposition would want.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think Henderson will get his chances. I think his discipline is better than Cans and at the minute the Lucas/Can combination is doing well but they always look like one of them will get sent off. I think a lot of that comes from Can's decision making. He's going to be a top player but he isn't yet.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think he's worked hard and battled well. Good player but he has been very poor last 3 - 4 games ... both goals we have concceed recently can be traced back to a mistake is his ... he needs to be dropped for his own good ,,, Hendo comes back he will be the one losing outAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I think he a better than that ... on form he is a class very good player, I would say starter ... off form he drops off considerably. I am wondering what will happen with the captaincy situation ... Klopp does not seem like he wants to rock the boat .. maybe he sells him on at the end of the season and that deals with two problems at once ... I cant see that happening though .. hes the quintessential physical footballerAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Didn't rate him before, don't rate him now. He certainly played a part in the goal we conceded. Hopefully he can raise his game a bit, but really not a fan. He can play in a number of positions and works hard, so at least he'll prove to be useful over the course of the season. But as our captain, first choice and highest paid player - I don't get it. Early days, but very ordinary thus far.

I was completely against his signing during the Rodgers era as I felt at the time he was being headhunted for a pivotal role.
With Klopp though it feels like a clean slate and there's no sentiment involved. Klopp will play him as he sees fit and, in this guise, I think he's a very good player to have.

His crossing ability though, coupled with Beneteke's aerial prowess, could be a significant source of goals this season. If only he could take a corner the same!
Milner might not be pulling up trees at the moment but he's working bloody hard and his crossing ability is way better than any other squad member.
Personally I couldn't give a fig who's wearing the armband, the successful teams always have more than one leader on the pitch; we've got the makings of this with Sakho, Lucas, Milner and Henderson potentially being on the pitch at the same time.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
