I know he's not necessarily the first name on the team sheet for Citeh but he usually seems to put in good performances for them whenever I see him.
He's an experienced Premier League winner who can play in a number positions. On a free it's a no brainer to me.Originally posted by dom9 View PostHe changed the game at Anfield last season, resulting in positive reviews from many on here.Originally posted by Pablo View PostAgree. Presuming his wages demands aren't ridiculous, we should definitely be in for him. We need the experience too
Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI'd have him here. Criminally underrated, and it'd give Rossiter and Williams time to develop.
Henderson, Can, Delph and Milner would give energy and a quick transition in our play from defence to attack. I can't see Rodgers selling Allen, but it'd mean the end for Lucas.Originally posted by Alex View PostHe's a winner, extremely versatile and will provide the experience that Gerrard leaving will need replacing.
I think he's a decent player.Originally posted by ronanm View PostI like him. Very underrated. Getting on a bit admittedly.Originally posted by danperkins View PostI can see why some find it uninspiring alright as we do need more quality and he shouldn't be our number 1 target.
IMO though Milner would make a great squad player. Versatile, fantastic work rate and has good distribution. Would have no problem with us getting him in, once we are in the market for other players of quality. Delph is average and should be nowhere near LFC.Originally posted by G View PostI think he's a very good player and his versatility would be very useful, especially in a free. We need some big hitters brought in too though.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI'd take him. Unfashionable and uninspiring but he's a good player and would improve us.Originally posted by Darkon View PostIs a no-brainer for me. We need some experience and good stable performance in midfield and he would get us that for the smallest possible transfer fee possible.
Milner is a good player, and would bring a good attitude with himOriginally posted by Rich View PostI'd be delighted if we convinced Milner to sign.Originally posted by badpiggy View PostMilner looked good to me whenever I saw him. Loads of energy. Definitely would be a good addition. He plays for a team that's way better than us. We're not exactly a step up in class that he won't make ffs.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostMassive improvement to our squad.
Consistent, versatile, dependable, all the unfashionable traits that every successful clubs needs some of it's players to have.
For every flakey Coutinho we need a reliable player like a MilnerNot everyone was down on his signing by the time it actually came though - see above!Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostSwedish podcaster.
Think Milner will be a smart signing. Versatile, well rounded and consistent. We can't break the bank on every player we get, it makes sense to maximise our funds available for bringing in goalscorers.
There were some corkers in there though. Favourite being an unnamed poster saying they would have to think about supporting another team

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
