Apart from that you fussy *******, can he do the job?

Just read the first couple of pages of this thread

Pretty brutal stuff - just a handful of us wise sages emerge with any credit
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, I slated his signing back then . Happy to have been proven wrong though - He’s been a brilliant freebie, solid reliable and has found his place in the squad.

He's an experienced Premier League winner who can play in a number positions. On a free it's a no brainer to me.

Henderson, Can, Delph and Milner would give energy and a quick transition in our play from defence to attack. I can't see Rodgers selling Allen, but it'd mean the end for Lucas.

          I think he's a decent player.

IMO though Milner would make a great squad player. Versatile, fantastic work rate and has good distribution. Would have no problem with us getting him in, once we are in the market for other players of quality. Delph is average and should be nowhere near LFC.

Milner is a good player, and would bring a good attitude with him

For every flakey Coutinho we need a reliable player like a Milner

Think Milner will be a smart signing. Versatile, well rounded and consistent. We can't break the bank on every player we get, it makes sense to maximise our funds available for bringing in goalscorers.
Not everyone was down on his signing by the time it actually came though - see above!

There were some corkers in there though. Favourite being an unnamed poster saying they would have to think about supporting another team

I think I looked forward to his set piece ability more than anything and also highlighted that Man City sub appearance which changed the game for them.

That kind of 'humour' is a bit backdated don't you think?
