That was Naby Keita on the right!

Milner only moved to the right after Trent was substituted.
Yes you're right excuse me but original point still stands James put in one of today's best performances today covering the flank while Naby was more central throughout

He isnt really a full back. As long as he is not playing against a total speed demon, he can hold his own.

Lets face it, we did not have many options today. Millie is the hero we need.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

It's hard to see what is going to stop him?

He is the ultimate utility player. More than does a job no matter what position he is asked to play (an assist on sat). he also leads the way in terms of fitness.

He is a machine. You cant stop a machine.

He’s been great, but I’d far rather see us get busy refreshing the midfield for the long term.

Releasing Milner and moving Ox on would free up a lot of wages for a couple of replacements.

Henderson, Thiago and even Fabinho still leave us a lot senior, experienced midfielders.

I think if he is happy enough to accept a reduced part - and probably a reduced wage as well - then it is a no brainer to keep him in the squad.

He plays well pretty much every time he plays for us. A genuine 7 out of 10 guaranteed. And even if the likes of Elliot and Jones progress - and either Neco Williams also does or we buy another right back - then I think Milner will still be a very valuable guy to have in the squad.

Even as an example to our young players coming through he must be brilliant

We can’t keep kicking the can down the road on refreshing too many areas of the squad though. If it’s about freeing up space and wages, as we kept being told this summer, then I think it’s time we let the 36 year old go. He’s been great value though.

We’ve loads of great examples throughout the squad, we won’t be lacking there whenever Milner does eventually leave.

I didn't see him getting minutes this season tbh but here we are.

Whilst our back up false 9 in preseason is languishing as 8th choice midfielder.

I'd like him to become part of the coaching team.

He's 36 in January, and out of contract in the summer isn't he? I think it comes down to him, how long he thinks he can go on for and whether he wants to stay. There have always been suggestions that he wanted to finish off his career back at Leeds, now I have no idea if the is any truth in that or what but I suspect that if there is this summer is probably the time for it to happen. I suspect that if we were to offer him a new deal it wouldn't be more than a year given his age. But he's a useful guy to have around and you wonder if he might move into coaching.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Beilsa probably won't be at Leeds next year, so there could be a big shake up and he might go there as a player / coach in the summer.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Agree that 36 is old for a footballer, but is he showing signs of getting too old? I Feel like he’s the same player as he was 2 years ago. Maybe he doesn’t play quite as much, but when he does, he does the same job. As that utility player, that’s in the squad, and can cover a few positions, I think he’s great. They won’t need to make any decisions until nearer the end of the season, but if he’s still in the same form that he’s in now, I hope we give him another year.

It’s not like we are risking much - it wouldn’t be a 5 year deal or anything.
                                I don't tip
